Topanga's

I woke up at 5 am to make breakfast. I made Fruit Parfait, which is fruit mixed which Greek yogurt. I ate mine, then I set out the bowls and went to wake the kids up. "Tobs, wake up breakfast is ready," I said he stirred around for a while before he finally woke up.

"Good morning Aunt Maya." He said

"Good morning bud, now gets downstairs there's breakfast waiting for you," I said and he went to go eat. I walked across the hall to Layla's room.

"Layla, sweetheart wake up," I said.

"Are you going to see him again?" I slowly nodded my head.

"But don't worry about that get ready for school," I said pulling her off the bed.

"Do I have too? School is a waste of time, it's limiting my artistic abilities." She said and I shook my head.

"Yes now go," I said and she left. I went to my bathroom to get ready for work and breakfast with Lucas.

Once I was done I seen Toby and Layla brushing their teeth all ready. I heard the doorbell ring and Jet and Nikki was ready to go. "Are you guys hungry?" I asked letting them in.

"No thank you." Jet and Nikki said in unison

"Guys come on!" I yelled through the house. I really didn't care if I woke Farkle and Riley they have to wake anyway.

"Wait mommy can you do my hair?" Layla asked

"Sure what do you want to do with it?"

"A French braid." She said and I looked at her.

"Your hair needs to be straightened for that to happen. I'll straighten it tonight and french braid it tomorrow." I said and she nodded. They grabbed their book bag but I ran to grab my purse and to wake up Farkle and Riley. "Hey, guys I'm heading out see ya later. Farkle you're picking up the kids and breakfast is on the counter bye." I said they were awake because Riley was on her phone. I went to drop the kids off, then drop Nikki off since she's in middle school.

I headed into Topanga's the last time I came here was when I told Lucas I was pregnant and he just left. I ordered a Vanilla Bean espresso and a grain muffin. I sat with my food and waited for Lucas. He walked in just a few moments after, he smiled at me and I returned it. He then ordered his food and came a sat with me.

"Hey good morning." He said

"Morning." I sipped on my espresso.

"Why doesn't Layla like me?" He asked searching for eye contact.

"Because you left. You promised me that no matter what you wouldn't leave me, not then not ever but you left. She grew up without a dad with a mom that had to work full time just to provide for her. If Farkle and Riley didn't make me move in with them she would hate you even more. I got your letter and I asked her and she just said she didn't want anything to do with you. One thing I won't do is force her to do something. The only person you can blame is yourself for this. I have to go to work Lucas I'm sorry." I said getting up. He grabbed my wrist and smashed his lips onto mine and I kissed back.

"I left because I wasn't ready I wasn't sure. I'm sorry I let you and Layla down. I won't give up on you I won't lose you again. That's a promise I can keep. I love you, Maya Penelope Hart." He said I ran out of Topanga's and into my car heading to work. I could only think about what happened that night I told him.

" Hey, babe," Lucas said kissing my forehead.

"Hi, Huckleberry," I said

"What did you want to talk about." Lucas grabbed my hand and looked into my eyes.

"Remember how when we graduated high school you promised me that no matter what happens you'll be here with me and we'll get through it together?" I laughed a little and he nodded his head. "Well, I don't know how to tell you this but I'm pregnant and it's your baby." I smiled and watched his expression change from happy to nervousness

"You're- your pregnant?" He stuttered and I nodded my head. "I'm sorry I just can't do this." He said and walked out. I sat in the chair crying he just left, just like my dad. You hope for things you get hurt, hope is for suckers.

Hope for things you get hurt, hope is for suckers. That's all that repeated in my head all day. I went home to see Layla doing some homework.

"Hey, mommy." She smiled at me, I smiled back and signaled Riley that we had to talk. She followed me in my room and I told her what happened

"The sperm donor kissed you?!" She yelled

"Geez Riley could you say that any louder. And yes he did." I said

"Did you kiss back?" I lowered my head. "Maya, you and Layla deserve better than him."

"Riley don't-"

"No Maya, you told me don't for the past 5 years, I'm setting you up with Farkle cousin. You're going on a date with him tomorrow night no backing out." She demanded

"Fine who is it, what's his name?" I asked

"Bradley." I rolled my eyes and we ate dinner.

"So mommy how was seeing Lucas today. Tell me everything." She said sitting on my bed in her pajamas.

"It was interesting. We talked he asked why didn't you like him. I told him it was because he left then I left for work." I said straightening her hair

"And he kissed you." She said

"Who told you that?" I asked

"Aunt Riley isn't very quiet." She said laughing. I put her hair in messy braids.

"All right nosey, go to bed I love you." I kissed her forehead.

"Okay, goodnight mommy. I love you, to the moon and back." She said.

"Even when it feels like were light years away." I gave her another hug and Riley put her to bed. I went to sleep tomorrow's my day off so I guess I'll get my nails done for this blind date.

Please don't hate me for adding Bradley in this he won't be here for very long probably like 2-3 chapters because I can't stand him. Please vote
