I was tired of sitting there listening to the guys plan to go to yet another party. I was getting fed up with listening to them talk about getting laid. I mean, I can't blame them, I used to be the same way. Until that day I saw that couple walking in the park, swinging their little boy between them. I wanted what they had. I wanted to have someone to talk to, other than the guys that is.

I finally decided I had had enough and decided to head to downtown. I told the guys I wasn't up for another party tonight. I just needed some time for myself, time to think.

I was walking out of my house when I noticed the house across the street was in use. Someone finally bought it, I thought, I'll have to stop by and say hi sometime.

I walked downtown to the Barnes N' Noble. I had been in the need of new books for a while now. One of my friends from high school suggested that I check out some book named When Sparks Fly. I walked into the store noticing that that exact book was on display in the window. I decided to get it while I was here.

After paying for all the books I had found I started towards the exit. I was almost to the door when I felt something, or rather someone, bump into my chest. I looked down to see a tiny little thing dressed in all white. She blinked her eyes in shock a few times causing me to chuckle. Her eyebrows furrowed in confusion as she continued to stare at my chest. She looked like she was really busy having a conversation in her head, so using the distraction to my advantage I took the time to actually look at her.

She really was a tiny thing. She had to be under five foot three, my six foot five frame completely towered her little body. She was wearing white sandals. Her legs were toned and tan. She was wearing a white sundress that went to her mid thigh. Her stomach looked like a twig, but she wasn't so thin as if she starved herself. Her breasts were perfect. I gulped and continued up to her face. Her lips were small and pink forming a natural pout. Her cheekbones were high leading up to her eyes. Her eyes that were like the ocean, only brighter, and more beautiful than anything I had ever seen. Alas, she also looked really young, like high school young. Damn, I told my self, if only she was older.

I noticed her eyes looking over my body, and I smirked. I knew I was good looking. I kept watching her until her eyes reached mine. I was taken aback for a moment, her eyes filled with lust. Her eyes widened a moment later.

She looked down quickly, a blush taking over her face. "I'm so so sorry," I heard her angelic voice say.

I couldn't help but laugh. "Y-your face was s-so red," I told her. I couldn't stop laughing. I noticed her wringing her hands, frowning. I instantly felt bad, I stopped my laughing. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have laughed like that," I apologized. I didn't mean to upset her. I remembered that it was Friday. "Shouldn't you be in school?" I asked her.

"I beg your pardon?" she said. Confusion taking over her features.

I guess I have to spell it out to her, "I know skipping may be fun, but high school is a very important part of life. Her eyes widened in realisation. Most likely realising she got caught.

She looked at me amused and didn't say anything for a minute. "You know I would, but," I waited for her to finish, my curiosity rising, "I don't think it's really necessary," she said it with a straight face, like it was the most mundane waste of time.

Was this girl serious? Guess I should find out. "Why is it not necessary?" I questioned her. This should be good.

"Well, you see, there's really no point considering I graduated two years ago." There was no way this chick was over eighteen.

I looked at her face and could tell she was being completely serious. I couldn't think of anything to say, I was so embarrassed. "I apologize you just look so young." I could feel my ears burning.

A sad sigh escaped her as she said, "Yes, I know, comes with being so small." I didn't say anything for a moment. Now that I knew she was actually around my age I looked at her differently. She was absolutely gorgeous. Her hair went to the middle of her back. You could tell she was a natural blonde, not some barbie clone.

I noticed she was moving to go around me. Damn it, I told myself, I should have said something. Think, think, think. Oh, I got it. I turned around my hand landing on her lower back. She tensed, but stopped and waited. I was stuck for a moment, sparks shooting up my arm. I moved to stand in front of her. "Let me make it up to you," I told her, "have lunch with me?" I waited for her answer rocking on my feet with my hands in my pockets. I don't know why I was so nervous I have never had trouble talking to women.

I looked up at her noticing her glance at her watch. "Well, since you asked, and I just happen to have no plans, I don't see why you can't treat me to lunch," she said smiling. I let go of the breath I was holding. "Oh thank God," I mumbled to myself.

She started towards the door. I jogged to catch up with her. We walked side by side down the sidewalk. "I didn't catch your name," I told her.

"That's probably because I didn't throw it." I pouted at her, she rolled her eyes at me. "Samantha. Most people call me Sammi though," she said not really paying attention. She was looking at the trees.

We arrived at my favorite café. "Well Sammi, my name is Chris." We sat down and after we ordered I saw her smiling at something across the sstreet. I looked and saw it was the park. I saw a guy pushing a little girl on a swing. She was laughing. I wanted to be like that guy someday. Hopefully, if I was lucky, it was someday soon.
