For those few of you who are actually still with me after all this time I am terribly sorry for the delay. I have been working on three or four other projects two of which are up now if you want to check those out. Or not, whichever you prefer. I also apologize for how bad this chapter will probably turn out, I'm doing all the writing on my phone. Um other than that not much to say tonight seeing as it's eleven, and I don't want to stop this roll I'm on. Also for those few reading this, can you tell me how your summer has been going? I want to know what people who actually have lives do for fun.. Without further ado Chapter Seven..

"Would you like to come with me?" she asked me after saying her niece was getting out of school. I thought about it for a minute, I didn't have any other plans. I guess I had thought too long as she hastily said, "I mean you don't have to. I was just wondering. I really want to keep talking to you.." Though the last line I'm pretty sure wasn't for me to hear.
"I would love to." I said smiling as her head whipped up in surprise.
Her smile was so beautiful. "Okay. Well um your car or mine?"
"Well I walked here so let's take yours," I chuckled as she laughed. She had such a beautiful laugh.
"Alrighty then, shall we?" She started off toward the parking lot of the Barnes N' Noble where we had bumped into each other.
Her car was one of those brand new Ford Fusions. "Nice car," I told her as she opened her drivers side door after unlocking the vehicle with her key fob.
"Thanks I just bought it, best spent money ever. Thank god I don't have to worry about payments," she said looking both ways before pulling out if her parking spot.
I looked at her wide eyed, "You mean you paid full price right up front?"
She just chuckled at me, "I told you earlier I have plenty of money. I don't indulge my self often, but I wanted a safe car and a nice one, since I don't think a classic camaro is appropriate for hauling around a five year old."
"Tell me you did not sell a camaro for a ford. Please tell me you didn't. "
She rolled her eyes at my ridiculousness, "No I didn't sell it, it's getting shipped here as we speak."
I placed a hand to my chest dramatically, "Oh thank god, the pain would have been devastating if you had gone the other route. "
She flicked on her turn signal pulling into the parking lot of the elementary school I had gone to as a kid. "Well we're here, " she stated unbuckling her seatbelt.
I quickly got out if the car following her suit as she exited and began her journey to pick up her niece. I wondered to myself what she would be like, what if she was a complete brat? Then again, what if she was a little angel? I was hoping for the latter.
I followed her down a wide hall, I looked around as she just continued checking the numbers on the doors to make sure she got to the right room.
I wasn't paying attention and nearly ran her over as she stopped abruptly in front of a door who had the number two-oh-three on it's foggy window.
I caught her under her arms as she stumbled. "T-thank you." she stuttered out.
I stood there just staring at her when I heard her clear her throat and realized I was still holding onto her. I let go of her immediately, looking up as I felt the heat that seemed familiar yet foreign to me climb up my neck, "You're welcome," I told her still not being able to look her in the eye. We stood there awkwardly for a few moments before I asked, "Are you going to knock?"
She flushed looking at her feet and raising her fist to the door. Almost exactly after she gave the door a tentative knock a short little brunette opened the little door excitedly almost jumping for joy it seemed as she saw it was Samantha. I assumed it was Samantha that put her in a good mood since she didn't even acknowledge my presence and just kept staring at her with a smile that I was sure had to make her face hurt.
"Uh hi." I awkwardly waved at the woman who opened the door making my presence known.
Her eyes widened as she took me in, "Oh hello, have we met before?" She looked at me her eyes searching for anything familiar about me.
"No we haven't. I'm Chris. We're here to pick up Amnesty," She continued to stare like she wondered if I was actually there, or if her mind just made up a really tall guy that looked like a stereotypical 'emo'.
I suppose Sammi felt pretty awkward with the silence so she broke it, "Yeah this is Chris, um, was Amnesty good today?"
The woman, whom I assumed, was the teacher shook her head lightly, "Oh, yes she was excellent," she smiled, "she especially loved reading time but I think we know why," she chuckled playfully nudging Sammi with her elbow.
I wonder what she meant by that.
"Haha," Sammi chuckled nervously, "yes I suppose we do. So shall we head in or.."
"Yes I'm so sorry, come right in and I'll go grab her," she left the door open and headed to a table where it looked like some kids were coloring.
"What did she mean by that?" I asked Sammi when the teacher headed to the table.
She looked around the room trying not to look at me, "I dabble in writing here and there, plus I love reading, me and Amnesty will just sit there sometimes reading for hours." She smiled thinking of her niece.
"That sounds nice, " I said quickly seeing the teacher coming over with a child that looked like a little clone of Sammi.
"Hey Nessy," Sammi said bending down to sit on her knees, "were you a good girl today for Miss Houston?"
The little girl nodded her head up and down smiling, "Yeah and she even let me read one of the pages during reading time!"
Sammi gasped, "She did! Man that is so awesome."
I smiled amused at their adorable speech, I almost didn't notice the little girl staring at me, "Hi," I told her, "I'm Chris, you must be Amnesty. Your Aunt has said a lot about you."
Her eyes widened, "She did?!"
"All good things I assure you," I smiled at her, "She also mentioned you were getting a present after school today."
She started jumping up and down then stopped suddenly, "We also are getting paint, right Aunt Sammi."
"Yeah we're still getting you your paint don't worry," Sammi rolled her eyes as the girl started jumping up and down again. "If we don't leave now, your present is going to disappear," those words settled her down, at least until we made it back to the car and took off, and pulled into the pet store.
