Daniel sat up in his bed gasping for air, as he had the same reoccurring dream of being chased. But this time it was different though, instead of watching from the sideline like the times before. This time it felt real like he was in the body of the little boy as he was getting chased by a dog like creature. He ran his hands down his face that was covered in sweat, wondering what the creature was. He looked down at his chest, noticing the scars that never seemed to go away. He tried asking his mother when she was alive, how he had got them but she always changed the subject. Eventually he stopped asking her and assumed he got it from playing in their backyard.

He turned on his side, looking over towards the window and noticed the sun rising above the trees. He got out of bed and decided to get ready for the day, since it was the weekend he didn't have to wear his robes which made him happy. He grabbed out a pair of jeans and a plain blue T-shirt, before going into the bathroom to take a shower. He finished getting ready and went downstairs, into the Ravenclaw common room. He grabbed a book off of the shelf and began to read, taking advantage of the silence.

As students began filing into the common room, Daniel made his way back up to his room to grab his jacket and serphs dagger, to practice his combat training. He took his stele out of his back pocket and ran it over his forearm to glamour his angelic rune so no one could see it. He twirled his stele in his hand as he walked down the stairs, going to the Great Hall for breakfast. He sat down at the end of the Ravenclaw table and piled food of his plate as he waited for his friends to arrive. He heard someone clear their throat and he looked up to see Angelina standing in front of him with a package in her hands. She sat the package down in front of Daniel and sat down across from him, fixing her plate of food.

"What's this for?" Daniel questioned, raising an eyebrow.

"Happy Birthday," She replied with a wide smile on her face.

"Thanks. but you shouldn't have," He said sending her a small smile and handing the present back to her.

"I wanted to and come on who doesn't want a present on their birthday. Plus I use my whole allowance to buy it," She responded before handing it back to him.

"Keep it. I don't celebrate my birthday anyways," Daniel replied before taking a bite of toast.

"Who doesn't celebrate their birthday!" She yelled a little to loudly and everyone looked over at them.

"I don't," Daniel mumbled before grabbing an apple off of the table and walking out of the Great Hall.

As he walked down the corridor towards an exit, leading towards the lake when he passed by Keith who was hanging out with the Weasley twins. He shook his head as he walked past them without saying a word and out of the castle, slipping his stele into his back pocket. He reached the lake and took off his jacket, setting it down in front of a tree that was near him as he grabbed his stele out and ran it over his speed and strength runes to see how fast he could climb up the tree that was in front of him. He placed his stele in the inside pocket of his jacket and blew on his hands before ascending up the tree within a matter of seconds.

He sat down on one of the high branches that over looked the whole castle and basked in the ambiance of the beautiful castle in front of him. He smiled to himself as he thought that maybe being here wouldn't be that bad, he just needed time to adjust to the new environment. Though it was rocky at first get was finally starting warm up with the idea of being here and with no one bothering him after the word of the first had gotten out. He was climbing down the tree when he heard a branch break in the distance which made him feel uneasy. The next thing he knew he was flung out of the tree and onto the hard ground below. At first he thought it was just a coincidence and he had just lost his footing, but that was until he felt the weight of someone or something onto of him.

He thrashed around on the ground trying to get the weight off of him and opened his eyes to see absolutely nothing on top of him. The person or creature must have been glamoured and Daniel hadn't quite figure out how to see through them yet. He tried to move his right arm but it only resulted in a shard pain shooting up his arm. He groaned in pain as he tried to reach his jacket that wasn't that far away from him as the creature clawed at his chest, making him cry out in pain. He was finally able to reach his jacket and grabbed one of the serphs dagger.

"Israfel," He groaned out of active the dagger before stabbing it into the back of the creature, causing it to turn into dusk on top of Daniel.

Daniel hissed as he tried to sit up and examine the damage he had took from the unknown creature. He scooted over towards the tree with the last of his strength to grab his stele to heal his wounds. With his stele in hand he tried his hardest trying to remember what the healing rune looked like. Even though he had learned about it or practiced it before it was his only chance to make it out alive. It finally clicked in his mind and he began drawing the rune on his lower abdomen, hissing as it burned into his skin. It hadn't healed him entirely but it was enough for him to make it back to the castle, to the hospital wing.

He hid his serphs dagger and stele in his secret jacket pocket before slipping it on and making his way back to the castle. He barely made ur back and when he made it inside he was stopped by Keith who wanted to talk to him.

"Now is not the time," He groaned out, his voice very horse.

"Wow you look like crap," Keith replied with a nervous chuckled, concerned about his friends health.

"No-," He tried to say but collapsed on the ground, clutching his stomach.

"Bloody hell. You alright?" Keith questioned as he knelt down next to his friend.

"What's going on over here?" A voice from behind the boys asked.

Kieth turned to see Cedric Diggory walking towards them with Penelope Clearwater following behind him.

"Get a teacher," Keith yelled as he noticed blood seeping through Daniel's shirt.

"How did this happen?" Cedric questioned as he knelt down next to Keith.

"I don't know...he just collapsed."

"Come on Daniel. You have to stay awake," Keith told him chocking on his words at the sight of his friend.

Cedric had now took over his jumper and press it on Daniel's stomach to stop the bleeding and it was seeming to work. Keith kept patting his friend on his face trying to keep him awake but it wasn't working. Daniel was now pale and his eyes began to close as the world around him seem to fade into darkness. When Penelope had returned with Professor McGonagall and Hagrid, they were shocked and Hagrid quickly picked up Daniel taking him to the Hospital Wing while Professor McGonagall talked to the other two boys to figure out what happened.
