Settled

<Krysten's POV>

Everyone was rushing around me. I stood at on of the cars taking stuff from people's hands and loading the trunk. I look over and see the hored getting closer and closer. Everyone files into the cars. That's when I realize three of us don't have a ride. "Lily get out and come with me. Natalie get in and watch the kids. Y'all drive outside the wall. Go go go". Me, Lily, and Nova run over to the barn. We grab a saddle and hitch up the horses. Luckily we only had three horses. We ride off just in front of the hored. I jump off and close the gate behind us. Grabbing a sheet of paper out of my bag.

We've been ridding for hours my back is starting to hurt and my butt has officially gone numb. We're no longer in Mississippi. We just passed the 'Welcome to Georgia' sign. We keep riding not knowing where we're going. Not knowing what's ahead. Not knowing what's going to happen. We ride for a few more hours and see a sign that says 'Willman up ahead safe from everything just leave weapons here'. I think to myself as I hold my hand showing them to stop. I look down at the sign where there is only one gun and a bouy knife. I hop off the horse and grab the knife and gun and get back on. "Krysten are we not going"says Nova riding up. "No". "Why". "Because I know of a place we are going and going there could be the worst thing. You don't know they could be waiting with guns just to shoot us down". "I trust you" she says holding her hand out. I shake it and jump on my horse and we keep going.
^Day Later^
We ride up to a two story house. I see a car sitting in the drive and it's quiet. My aunts house was never a ghost town. I jump off and walk up to the garage door peaking in. It's empty. I open the door and walk in. Then over to the door that enters the house. I slowly open it and the house is quite not a sound. I walk through it. When I hear something fall from upstairs. I slowly walk up and open the door. Sitting on the couch is Brady, and Griffin my two cousins. "Brady, Griffin where's Aunt Nanny. "Out hunting". "She just left you here". "Ya but we are up stairs on the second floor"Griffin said trying to move from the couch. "Well I have people so you mind if they come up here and stay". "Not at all as long as they stay on the other side of the room or up there by the table. I walked downstairs and waved for everyone to come. They followed me up the stairs and told them to stay over this way. "River don't let anyone on that side". "Where are you going". "To find my aunt". He grabbed my hand and gave me a quick peck on the lips and let me go. I ran down stairs and to my horse who I put in the garage. I ran off to the back of the house and towards the woods. I galloped through the creek. Then to the other side. When I got about half way through I started screaming "Aunt Nanny where are you"I called that about sux times when I heard "Come over to the drinking river". I cautiously walked over and my aunt was sitting down in it holding a gun. "I thought no one would ever come I've been stuck down here for hours help". I turned to my horses pack and pulled out a rope and threw it down. She climbed up and hugged me. "Why are you here". "I was a leader of a settlement called Atlas but our wall collapsed under the pressure from a hored and we were run out". I told her the rest of my story while on the way back. That's when I realize we were standing in the garage. I slowly walk in and up stairs. Everyone looked up. "Hey I found her". My water soaked aunt walked in and smiled. "Wow there's a lot of you". "Ya but we stayed in a smaller place then this for a while so this is really and upgrade". We smiled and walked over to Blake and picked her up. My aunt gasped. "Who's the parents of this little girl she is beautiful". I smiled and River walked over. "Us" she looked up as he said that. "Are you serious. She's yours". "Yep". "I see it now. Oh my gosh she's adorable. What's her name". "Blake Inir Summer" I said smiling . I gave her to River and started to walk downstairs. All of us gather in the living room for a little meeting. Everyone was cramped in like sardines. So I step up on the coffee table. "Ok everyone so now we are going to start off by finding room for people. Because this sho ain't enough room for anybody. Especially us at the size of our group. So tomorrow a group will go out to find trailers. Then another group will go out with my aunt to hunt. While the rest will either start a wall or farm. For now get some rest". With that everyone dispersed into tiny groups. Me, River, Blake, Natalie, Zack, William, Madie, and Cooper all go up stairs and try to sleep to the sound of nothing.
