Chapter Three: Catching Up
Ian
The sun was planting tiny kisses all over my chest, with the love of my life at my side, lying in the sand of our favorite beach. Talk about memories. Is it a strange De Ja Vu that I can't seem to look at him right now? I'd like to think so.
"Ian?" This is getting strange.
"Yes, Benny?" May as well go along with it.
There is a slight pause before words are spoken.
"I missed you, a lot."
I was shocked by his words, but giddy nonetheless. It took every ounce of my self-control not to topple him and suck his face off.
"I missed you, too." A simple reply that holds much more meaning than anything I've ever said to anyone.
I turn towards him and smile, he smiles at my smile and blushes a little.
"You look like you want to eat me, Ian," he says with a small giggle that takes away some of my self-control.
Don't go over the edge, he has a boyfriend that is bigger than you and already seems to loathe you an indescribable amount. I can’t help but blush and close my eyes, a small smile playing on my lips.
I turn my attention back to the ocean. The waves look inviting, very small and gentle, like those of a wave pool. I emerge from the beaches sand bed and saunter to the ocean. I hear soft footsteps behind me, and even softer hands wrap around me.
Startled, I jump which causes the hands to release. So quick to let go, never quick to get over.
“What’s wrong?” Benny asks.
I shake my head and float off into the water. Most people are too busy tanning, so there aren’t many participants interested in swimming at the moment. But once the sun is too overwhelmingly hot, they’ll be in.
I feel and light brush and instantly assume it’s an animal. I jump again, splashing poor Benny.
“I guess you don’t like being close,” Benny mutters, his eyes squeezed shut as he rubs ocean water from them.
“That’s not it, you just keep scaring me,” I defend.
He his head from side to side and droplets of water hit me in the face. A devious smirk tugs at Benny’s lips as he acts out the “bring it on” fingers with his hands.
I smile and duck my head under the water, moving more into the deep water. I see Benny’s legs following after me, so I take it as an opportunity to grab him. Though my ears are clogged by water, I still hear Benny screech. I can imagine how the tanning people reacted to that.
I resurface and look at Benny’s terrified face. I chuckle and pull him into a wet hug.
“It’s alright, you told me to bring it,” I beckon with false sincerity.
His face nuzzles into my neck and his arms drape over my shoulders. I move my hands to his waist and enjoy the closeness of our bodies. I’m at war with myself to hide my erection through the thin fabric of the trunks.
With his legs firmly grasping my waist, I feel us going down sideways into the water, hard.
He quickly resurfaces and I immediately make the decision to fake drown. We both know I can swim exceptionally well, but the force of impact was so great that I could make it believable.
