Pisces ~

I squeezed my eyes shut. One of the trainers had just come into my dorm and all woken us up, and when I rolled over to look at my alarm clock, I realised it was 2 am.

'I don't even know why we have to be woken up early,' grumbled one of my dorm mates loudly as she got changed.

'I heard that, number 17, why don't you take a quick run around the whole track field?' the trainer suddenly appeared in the nearly pitch-black dorm and I knew 17 was probably turning pale.

'If you want to know, when you're an agent you're going to have to get used to not having much sleep and operate in the night.'

Dragging myself out to the courtyard, I blinked, finding it hard to see in the dark. Despite the crescent moon giving some light I bumped into someone but I eventually got used to it.

'Okay listen up. I hope all fifty of you are here and listening. Today, we are going to have a little fighting tournament, in the dark of course. We'll be observing, but we're still having the tradition fighting tournament in the day on the last day of all the tests. Okay let's starting drawing names.'

I trembled in anticipation and nervousness. Whilst it gave others a disadvantage, it also gave me one too. Like duh but whatever.

My name (or more accurately number) was drawn with 20. The girl was short but I knew she always acted really tough. One thing I don't know is that I don't know whether she actually is tough or not. While here at this training centre there's a ton of toughies, there are obviously those that try and act tough as well.

Squinting in the dark, as my opponent circled me, I felt my stomach churn. As though she knew my little second of uncertainty, she pounced, punching me in the abdomen and face twice. Although they were quick, they weren't the hardest punches I'd felt, but I was winded and my nose felt numb.

Defending quickly, I took the chance to kick her stomach, making her fall back, but she did an impeccable back roll before jumping back up and I took a spinning kick to the face.

'Urgh!' I screamed, and I clutched my nose, but she went for another punch so I dodged before going through her legs and grabbing her hair, effectively surprising her and making her fall back.

Once she was on the ground, I slapped her on the face and kicked her in the stomach. Ouch that must've hurt.

'Good job 7! You'll be in the actual fighting match on the last day. 20, too bad. You're already behind and you're going to have to impress us to make us even consider you.'

As the days continued, I managed to succeed in every one of the events except for running ad swimming really. I wasn't exactly the most muscular and I didn't have the best cardio, but I still did moderately well.

On the last day when I ended in the last match, it was such an easy fight I have no idea how.

The boy I was versing wasn't prepared when the match started (I literally leapt on him when he was looking at someone in the crowd - his friend or something) and then things just progressed from there.

Quickly after rubbing a slightly bloody fist on my leggings, the head trainer pulled me away.

'We're running behind on schedule.' he said hurriedly as we jogged to the front of the centre.

Looking around amazed, it felt so freeing now that I was finally out this place, like properly and forever. I can finally meet new people!

'Come on! and I should call you Pisces now.' he joked and I carefully got into the luxurious black car.
