Soulmates

Tom's eyes fluttered open. He groaned and sat up, looking around. Same old color grey. I'll never find a soulmate... He sighed and swung his legs over the side of the bed. Tom got up and went over to his dresser, pulling on what he assumed was a blue hoodie over his bare chest. He left his sweatpants on and walked into the kitchen.

Edd was cooking pancakes with cola and Matt was on the couch looking at himself in a mirror.

"Mornin', Tom!" The cola boy chirped.

Tom grunted in response and sat down at the table. Tord trudged into the kitchen tiredly and rubbed his face.

"Hey," despite his looks he was smiling.

"Hi Tord!" Edd glanced at him. Matt, of course, ignored everyone.

"Hey Jehovah's Witness," Tord chuckled and flicked Tom's head.

Tom's eyes widened and he swore he just saw color. He stood up and faced Tord. "Did you see that?"

"See what...?" Tord raised an eyebrow.

"Flick me again."

"Are you drunk?"

"Flick me again."

"Damn, alright..."

Tord flicked Tom's forehead a little harder than before. Color sparked in Tom's vision. Tord's red hoodie and shining silver eyes, his honey-brown hair and rosy cheeks.

"Shit..." Tom whispered and the color faded away.

"What's up with you? Why are you staring at me?" Tord's eyebrows furrowed in worry.

"I- uh- nothing," Tom turned and scampered off to his room, slamming the door close. He slid against the door and sat down, holding his head in his hands. "Fuck... fuck... fuck..."

A knock sounded on his door and he jumped in surprise.

"Who- Who is it?" Tom choked out.

"Are you okay?" Tord's thick accent came from the other side.

Tom shuddered and stood up. He opened the door and stared him straight in the eyes. "Give me your hands," he demanded.

"...no?" Tord was clearly confused.

"Ugh!" Tom grabbed the norski's hands and color flooded his vision. His jaw dropped. "You... tell me you don't see that."

Tord froze. "Is- Is that..?" He whispered.

"Tord," Tom took a shaky breath, "I think we're soulmates."
