(C16) Perfect Life

"AAAAAAHHHHHHHH HAHAHAAA~!!! I KNEW IT!!" Nagisa leapt onto me, knocking me onto my back and forcing us to roll around on the grass. Makoto, Haru (oddly enough) and Rei roared with laughter as they watched Nagisa and I roll about, laughing and yelling like fangirls to each other. After a week of dating, Nagisa may have caught wind of our relationship when he saw us walking out of school hand in hand. We all met up at the park today to tell everyone, and they all seemed to be not too surprised. It's like they had an inkling that this would happen. Hmm...

Nagisa rolled off me and jumped onto Rei, "I told you guys, didn't I?"

"Yeah. Well, you didn't have to tell us, seeing as Makoto told me."

"H-Haru..." Makoto turned away and blushed slightly.

"Is that so? So, you felt something for me before I knew it? Aren't you just the cutest?" I said sweetly, ruffling his hair and giggling. Makoto looked at me with burning cheeks and a huge smile. Rei, Nagisa and Haru smiled at us, "You two are so sweet, I think I'm going to get a cavity." That's an odd thing for Haru to say, but it's still nice of him. I'm glad that they accepted us, but why wouldn't they?

They're the greatest people I have ever met in my life, I have my family coming home soon to visit me, and I have Makoto. My life is perfect right now.

After a couple of hours, the others had to leave, much to mine and Makoto's disappointment.

"We'll see you soon, yeah?" I said happily, hugging them goodbye.

"Yep! Real soon!" Nagisa cheered.

"I hope you two have a great day." Rei smiled.

"Don't get her pregnant." Haru was weirdly serious about that.

"H-Haru! How could you even say that?!" Makoto yelled, "It was a joke." Somehow, I doubt that...

"Well, it's okay. As long as it was a joke." I warned.

"Guys~ Come on~ We've gotta go see Rin-chan~"

"Oh, that reminds me: Rin wanted to congratulate you, Makoto. Saying stuff like "He deserves a girl." and so on. Anyway, have fun." Haru smiled and turned around.

"We'll see you in school. See you guys later!" Makoto waved them off and I sat next to him again.

After the boys went home, Makoto and I stayed in the park, sitting on the grass and looking at the sky. It's a huge cliché, but now I know why they do it in the movies. We had moved underneath a huge tree, sitting in the shade and talking. Makoto was leaning against the tree with me sitting between his legs. He had his arms wrapped around my stomach and he rested his chin on my shoulder. We sat like this for a while, just enjoying one another's hold, when Makoto flinched, "I can't believe I forgot! Mizuki, me, my mother and my father wanted to know if you'd like to have dinner together soon? Well, that is if you don't mind Ren and Ran joining us." My stomach went a little fuzzy with the invitation. It sounds awesome!

"Sure! How much do I need to bring?"

"Eh?! You don't think you're...? Haha ha! You're so silly, Mizuki! But it's cute."

"M-Makoto..."

"You're so adorable when you blush," he said softly, caressing my burning cheek. God, he has a touch that could make you melt.

"Jeez, you're so lovey..."

"Because I have you to love. You're everything to me, you know that? You're like water and I'm Haru, I guess?" I laughed and reached behind me to pull his head closer to me, "You sure do say some embarrassing things, you know that?"

"You don't like it? S-sorry."

"Gah, you idiot! I freaking love it! Now, c'mere." I pulled his face into mine and kissed him softly. His eyes widened with the surprise, but he soon shut them and smiled against my lips. Just because we are completely besotted with one another, it doesn't mean we have to rush into anything too, you know, 'sexy'. Besides, we're only seventeen, so it's a little illegal. As long as we have each other, we don't need to/want to rush anything.

I love Makoto with an undying affection, one that's shared between us that will never end.

Makoto is the man I'll spend the rest of my perfect life with, and I wouldn't have it any other way.
