I'll keep this short, for I'm sure many of you already know much of who Andy is, after all you have chosen to read this book. But there are a few things that it is important you know before we proceed.
Firstly; this story is set following the two already written in this series (Rye and Brooklyn) so it is important to note that at the time this story is set, Andy has seen both of his friends put through some pretty tough times because of love. He's seen Brooklyn, completely destroyed by a relationship that turned bad, ending (you may recall) with him in tears on a park bench. He's also seen Rye hurt so much by his girlfriend leaving to study in another country. Although his story did have a happy ending.
In many ways, these experiences and the pressures being in the band brings has put Andy off love a little bit. But that doesn't mean he doesn't want someone to care for. Andy, always used to want someone to hold and comfort, although he's no longer as sure.
You must also know, that things are starting to get crazy for the band. They are releasing an EP, going on tour and then taking over the world. (Okay maybe not the last bit). But with all that, comes a new level of pressure on Andy. He wants to make it this time, and he doesn't want to let the other boys down. All this he's bottling up inside, slowly becoming more and more introverted. Bottling up all the anxiety and becoming more lonely.
Although he's unsure, maybe a lover is what he needs to keep going.
