"I know at times it can burn you. The ones who care they deserve you. But stick around there will be better times." -Don't hurt yourself, Road Trip

After a few weeks of text conversations, both always a bit on edge, Andy and Gemma had finally agreed to meet up again. Andy had arranged to meet Gemma at the studio, and he had a few surprises for her there. He didn't know if she was going to show, after all he hadn't seen her since they first met. He didn't even know if the person he had been talking to was definitely her.
To his surprise, and utmost relief, at exactly 11:11, she arrived at the studio. He let her in, taking her into the recording room. There they sat on the sofa side by side and they talked. It was like nothing either had ever been through before, just both of them freely talking. They talked about so much, and before they knew it over an hour had passed. Yet on reflection, they realised neither had actually told the other anything.
Gemma still didn't know about how frightened Andy was of love, of how scared he was of getting hurt. She didn't know about what he'd watched his friends go through and it would take some time for Andy to open up to her about it.
Andy still didn't know about Gemma. He didn't know about how nervous she was, about the anxiety that swept over her every time she was with Andy. He didn't know about how she felt, about how terrified she was of speaking out, in case he turned away from her. And for her, it would also take some time to be able to tell him.
As they were coming to the end of their time in the studio, their 'date' you could say. Andy took her hand leading her to a chair in the centre of the room. He grabbed a guitar from the war and sat opposite her. Then he started playing, a mash up of Road Trip's original songs, 'I wasn't worried' and 'Don't hurt yourself'. Two songs that held so much meaning to Andy and in turn really hit Gemma as she heard the words, and the emotion that rolled out of Andy with the songs.
At the end, Andy looked up, to see tears falling, slowly and silently from Gemma's eyes.
"That was incredible..." Was all the words she could muster.

I'm so sorry I haven't updated in ages, but I have been on a school trip. Anyway, hopefully updates will become more frequent again. I hope you liked this one.
