Sherlock sat there for a while before entering his mind palace yet again, hunting down any ideas e could think to shock John.

Whilst in his mind palace his phone started ringing which went unnoticed by himself but instead by John who began looking for it.

John hunted along the floor near Sherlock hearing the sound getting louder as he approached the detective. John then hunted around in the sofa around Sherlock, tilting him out the way so he could check underneath the detective before patting him down and finding the bulge in his chest pocket and slipping the phone out.

Lestrade was calling, probably with a case so John answered and got the details all the while nudging Sherlocks shoulder and poking him in the ribs trying to get Sherlock back to earth.

"Earth to Sherlock" John whispered in his ear whilst Lestrade stayed on the phone, telling where to meet.

"John what's he doing now anyway?" Lestrade asked through the phone.

"Mind palace he hasn't moved for hours" John sighed, attempting to tickle Sherlock under his arms and along his ribs.

"Scare him awake" Lestrade insisted.

"You might just have an idea there" John said as he hung the phone up from Lestrade after saying farewells.

John placed Sherlocks phone on the table and then lifted Sherlock into his arms before heading to the bathroom and filing the bath with cold water. He then removed Sherlocks shirt and trousers and placed him quickly in the cold water, letting his body sink into the icy cold.

Sherlock woke with a gasp and wrapped his arms around himself, standing to get out the bath and slipping on the bath base.

"J-John!" Sherlock gasped, his eyes wide and scared. "John!" He shouted as John walked up to him chuckling and scooping him into his arms and then wrapping him in his own fluffy bath robe where he stood shivering in front of him.

"You weren't getting up, besides it was kind of my turn to shock you" John points out, a smile tugging at his lips.

Sherlock just shot John an accusing glare and swept out the room heading to his room and pulling clothes on once he was dressed.

When John was sleeping that night, Sherlock carried him in his arms and took him downstairs where his cape was waiting patiently by the door.

The cape hovered over and latched onto Sherlocks shoulders as Sherlock held John sturdily in his strong arms, Sherlock then went outside with John in his arms and began to rise into the night sky, careful not to wake John.

When he was higher than the tallest building, he woke John gently by whispering his name until his eyes opened. He held John so he was aware of the height and chuckled uncontrollably when John became aware of his surroundings and cursed into the night air.

"What the hell are you doing!" John exclaimed as Sherlock continued laughing.

After a while Sherlock guided them both safely back to the flat and they sat in their assigned chairs, Sherlock still chuckling.

"This games getting out of hand" John muttered.

"Did you want to declare that I've won and end it now?" Sherlock asked cheekily.

"Nope because I don't want to stroke your ego" John said happily, standing up and walking up close to Sherlock and standing in between his legs, and then straddling Sherlock in his chair and holding Sherlocks waist tightly in his hands. John leaned up close to Sherlocks face with his own and then whispered quietly, his breath ghosting over Sherlocks lips, "this game isn't over yet" before stepping back off Sherlock and heading back to bed and leaving Sherlock completely silenced save for his heavy breathing.

Sherlocks eyes were blown wide and his heart running a marathon and he kinda wanted John to return but he was also petrified of what might happen.

After a few hours of shock and adrenaline, his body began to relax and exhaustion kicked in instead, leaving him to fall into a deep sleep in his chair.

When Sherlock woke he found himself in his chair still, but with a blanket over him which he hadn't put there himself.

He stretched out his arms and legs and his neck clicked painfully at having been sat like that all night, his spine was aching too and he reached up his hand to touch his next, groaning in pain as he felt the muscles were tense under his skin.

Sherlock rubbed at his neck trying to relieve the pain soon his arm was aching and his neck felt no better, after a while he felt two strong hands on his neck from behind, massaging the base of his neck.

John quickly left Sherlock as he set up some pillows on the floor and arranged them into a makeshift bed. He then went back to Sherlock and lifted him in his arms and lay him face down on the pillows before kneeling over him and massaging his spine and lower back.

John lifted his hands temporarily and moved Sherlocks shirt up around his shoulder blades, so that he could get to his back better, he then continued pressing and rubbing patterns into his lower back and making the muscles relax.

"Feeling a bit better?" John asked gently, doctor instincts still visible in the way he worked.

Sherlock nodded and John gently worked on the base of his neck again, loosening the tensed muscles and making them go normal again.

"Your back went into spasm from sitting in the chair all night, it's perfectly normal even kids get it, it's the bodies way of protecting itself from damage by tensing the muscles around the bone" John explained.

Sherlock wanted to sleep again with Johns gentle fingers along his back, printing patterns onto his skin with invisible ink, his whole body had relaxed and he felt himself melt into the floor below him, his eyes drooping again.

"We have to meet Lestrade at the crime scene in oxford street later, one of the houses was found with a woman dead inside." John began listing off the details to Sherlock as his fingers brushed over the small of Sherlocks back and Sherlock tensed and relaxed again, his gasp silenced by the pillows.

When John believed himself finished, he climbed off from where he'd been straddling Sherlock by his hips and lifted Sherlock up onto his own feet, pulling Sherlocks shirt back down so it covered him again.

John then coaxed Sherlock into eating breakfast before they grabbed their coats and were sat in the back of a cab on their way to the crime scene.
