John woke from his bed, he couldn't recall how he had got there, this was just weird. That was the strangest dream he'd probably ever experienced.
John exited the room, finding he was still wearing his clothes from the previous day, jacket not included. He walked downstairs lying on the sofa, arm over his face. John walked out to the kitchen about to make them tea when Sherlock called his name.
"No need John, I have tea out here" Sherlock called from the sofa, John walked back in, but that's when he saw it. The cape from yesterday hovering over the coffee table actually stirring sugar into two tea cups after pouring tea from the pot.
"What the f--" John began only to be silenced by Sherlocks hand.
"Is there really need for use of that language John, it degrades you" Sherlock said from the sofa as the cape held out the tea to Sherlock, to which Sherlock sat up quickly and took it from it. Sherlock nodded at the cape and it then handed a cup to john and then just stood hovering next to Sherlock.
So Sherlock had this affect on everyone and everything including capes, the cape was acting like Molly but braver and kept on stroking at his face when he wasn't paying attention.
"So that wasn't a dream then?" John said taking an experimental sip from his tea.
"John that wasn't a dream, the evidence is clearly here in front of you" Sherlock said with an exasperated sigh.
"Kinda cool you know, both doctors, different backgrounds" John said thoughtfully. Sherlock merely chuckled.
This really was one of the weirdest days John had ever experienced in his life, excluding yesterday. He'd just discovered that his favorite consulting detective was a well known surgeon in America with an undeniable talent and had them also become the sorcerer supreme of the world.
There John was always fantasizing about how cool it would be to be a superhero whilst watching those marvel films and there he was practically standing in front of one of the most powerful. A wizard.
Sherlock stood abruptly and turned to his wall of string and photographs and rough notes.
"Any new cases?" John asked curiously, peering over Sherlocks shoulder. His breath ghosted over the Detectives cheek making him shudder slightly.
"No n-nothing" Sherlock stuttered. The close proximity of John making him just a tiny bit discombobulated.
"Want me to text Lestrade?" John asked, looking about for his mobile.
"Nope" Sherlock said popping the 'p' and turning away from the wall and taking his cape, flapping it so it flipped inside out, back to the usual black coat it was before, heavy and lifeless.
"So then John, anywhere you wanna go?" Sherlock asked jumping into his coat and turning the collar up buttoning it to his neck.
"What do you mean? What like a walk or something?" John asked confused.
Sherlock chuckled, "John you've seen what I can do, anywhere you've always wanted to go and we'll go there now, I know a way that's quicker than plane."
"Ohh, I um I dunno, where do you suggest, I still can't get my head around this mag-"
"Mindful" Sherlock cut in.
"Stuff" John finished, looking at Sherlock in confusion. Honestly what do you say when your offered to go anywhere you like in the world and still return home the same day?
