There you were. Six year old Y/N staring at a six year old Ralph. She didn't know what the true meaning of a crush meant and she had one on Ralph. And everyone knew that. He lives in the projects across from her and they always are outside together, but they don't play.

   Your older sister noticed you staring at Ralph across the playground as he played with Ricky." Why don't you go say hi." You sister said nudging you." What do you mean?" You asked looking up as her, after you snapped out of your thoughts about Ralph." You like him, you might not know that but I could tell." She said smiling a little bit down at you.

   "Eww, that's gross." You said as you shook your head quickly." No it's not, you're going to like someone and get married to them. It's not gross." She said and pushed you forward." Now go, ask him if he wants to play." She said she looked between you and Ralph. You took a deep breath before going over and walking to him.

    "Hi, my name is Y/N." You said holding your hand out for him to shake it. He looked at you then at your hand than back at you before walking away. You frown deeply feeling the tears in your eyes as you drop your hand to your side and walk back to your sister." Awww, come here." She said in a baby voice as she held her arms out.

   You fell into her arms and started to cry. She carried you back to your apartment complex, but someone stopped you." Hey, wait." A little boy called after you. Your sister turned around quickly to see the little boy you liked running after you with a flower in his hand.

   Your sister put you down and wiped your tears and pushed you into the little boy whom was standing right in front of you. She quickly walked away to meet up with her friends who were like 10 feet away." I'm sorry." He said handing you the flowers." I don't care." You huffing crossing your arms.

   "Can you take the flowers?" H asked nicely." I don't know can I?" You asked glaring at him. You were about to hit him because he made you mad and you didn't like people who made you mad." Y/N be nice." You sister yelled out to you as she noticed you raise your hand and the boy flinch. You huff angrily and take the flowers and give him a hug and stomp away opposite of where your sister was.

   "Hey, you need to slow down. If mama found out you walked away like that, our asses will both be grass." She said as she grabbed you and placed you on her hip." I don't like him no more." You said sadly and angrily as you laid your head in her shoulder.

   "You have to talk to him. He tried to say sorry and you were being mean to him." She said and walked you back to were the boy was sitting. You noticed he looked sad and he was alone, making you feel bad that you were mean to him as well." Should I say sorry?" You asked looking at your sister. "Yes you should. And be his friend I know you both like each other." She said putting you down and waited for you to walk to him.

   "Hey, I'm sorry for trying to hit you." You said looking down at your feet and you rocked on you heels." It's okay, I'm sorry for walking away when you came up to me." He said and smiled at you a little bit." Can we be friends?" You asked and looking at him with a confused looked." Of course." He said smiling at you.

   "Can we be best friends?" You asked stepping closer to him." Yes, I don't have a girl best friend." He said smiling back at you." Can we be boyfriend and girlfriend?" You asked remembering you sisters talking about to their friends." What!?" He asked shocked with wide eyes." Can we be boyfriend and girlfriend?" You said slowly and tried to make eye contact.

   "Yes." He said after he took a deep breath." Really?!" You asked happily." Yes, really." He said and hugged you." Oh, that's great." You mumbled and hugging him back. While you were hugging him, you heard someone call yours and your sisters name." Y/N, Y/S/N, get here now." Your mother yelled from the window.

   You jumped away from Ralph and looked at your sister with scared eyes. "Bye." You wave to Ralph as you quickly run to your sister. She grabs your hand and walked with you back home." Why is mama so mad?" You asked looking up at her." I don't know, but we'll find out." She said looking down at you and giving you a small sad smile.

   "Y/N go to your room, I have to talk with Y/S/N." Your mother said glaring at your sister as she talked to you. You ran to your room whom you shared with your baby sister, well that's what you thought." You let her get a boyfriend?" Your mother yelled." Mama, they are just kids she'll get over him." Your sister said back as she sat on the couch." No, not just kids, you had a boyfriend her age an you thought it was all alright that why you have that one in there." She yelled and pointed to your door.

    "Okay but that's different mama." Your sister said knowing she's talking about Justine your niece but you thought that was your sister." How the hell is it different, you grew up to be a fast ass and now look were that led you and mother at 16 years old." Your mom yelled so loud that outside could probably hear it." That don't mean she will be, you never watched me. You didn't even care where I was 12:00 at night." You sister yelled back finally annoyed with her.

   "Don't you dare said I didn't care about you. I wondered were your fast ass was, and I figured it out when Mae Bell called me and told me she found you in the bed with her son Jerry." She yelled back." Mama, Justine is here now, you can't do nothing about that. And I changed my ways, I don't do that anymore I learned my lesson." She yelled back at your mom." Whatever Y/S/N, when you go out tomorrow make Y/N stop talking to that boy." She huffed and sat on the couch rubbing her forehead." They're just kids mama." She said and walked into the room you shared with her daughter and slammed the door.
