.CHAPTER 55 - Explanations!

GUMBALL P.O.V

Suddenly, Bonnie came in the cafeteria with a new girl... Wow... she looks so cool...

"Come on, Marshall... let's go talk to her..." I looked over at Marshall Lee, but he was petrified.

"Hey... Marshy... what is it?" That's when I realized he was staring at the new girl, wide eyed, petrified... his eyes watered. What the heck...?

"Oh, God..." Fiona said. "Marshall...?" She asked him, he was paralyzed. "Gummy... just get him out of here... right now." I didn't quite understand, but Flame and I took him out of there through the back door.

When we were outside, I realized Marshall was pale. Since we were basically alone outside, I boldly took off my t-shirt and fanned him, as Flame splashed some water on his fame. Suddenly he came back to his senses, shaking his head.

"Marshall!" I said. "What happened to you in there?" he looked at me and sighed.

"That... t-that... was h-her, Gummy... the girl I... I a-almost... k-killed... the g-girl I... u-used to d-date..." He replied, tears running down his face. I gasped. 

"F-Fuck..." I said, even sitting down myself from the shock. "W-what's... she d-doing here?... a-and with Bonnie..." I said. I don't get it...

"Umm... I think I know this one..." Flame said rubbing his neck... Marshall and I looked at him confused. "... you see... I... I kinda saw Bonnie with this girl Marceline earlier this morning... and ummm... they were kissing." Marshall shot up.

"K-Kissing...? What...?" He asked shocked. I blushed, a little hurt by him acting so jealous. "W-what do you mean... k-kissing...? l-like... like... on the m-mouth?" He said, nervously. 

Flame rolled his eyes.

"Yeah, on the mouth, moron... did you forget you're also dating the same gender?" He asked.

Then Marshall blushed and looked at me. 

"Well... I'm gonna leave you too love birds to talk about this... see ya later..." Then, Flame left.

"G-Gumball... I..." Marshall said, kneeling before me. I blushed. "...I'm s-sorry... I was just s-surprised... I haven't seen h-her since... well... you know..." He said, smiling. I blushed deeper. 

"D-Do... do y-you still have... f-feelings for h-her?" I asked him, embarrassed. He laughed softly. I looked at him a little angry.

"You're so cute, Gummy..." He said sitting next to me, kissing my forehead. I huffed. "Yes... I do have feelings for her..." I widened my eyes, looking at him a little hurt. He giggled again. "But they're different... from before I mean..." He sighed. "...I still feel... horribly guilty for what I did to her... and I still care about her... but... I don't love her anymore..." He reassured smiling at me. I smiled nervously as I mentally sighed relived. Marshall continued... "I just... want her NOT to hate me, you know..." He said looking down, then at me. I smiled at him.

"We could talk to her and Bonnie all together..." I suggested. "After all... we don't wanna fight..." He hugged me.

"You always knows what to say... I love you... although..." He said looking at me. "... it's still bothering me that they were so close... so fast..." he finished. I sighed...

"You're right... it is kinda odd... maybe they met before...?" I suggested. He raised his shoulders.

"Maybe... but... it's just... I don't think all this is just a coincidence..." he said a little angry. I looked down. He sighed. "I'm... I'm s-sorry Gummy... I know she's your cousin... but... it just doesn't add up..." He took my hands.
