Alisa's POV
We walked into one of the many offices in the palace. Klaus pulled a lever behind one of the desk, and that lever revealed a hidden passageway behind the wall that opened up.
"When the palace was first built, they built these in case of invasions. The haven't been used in years. Come on." He held his hand for me, and I quickly took it. He led me down the musty smelling hall. Cobwebs were everywhere, and it was extremely dark. A loud boom was heard outside, making me jump.
"They're getting closer." I quietly said. He looked back at me, giving me a reassuring smile.
"We'll fight them off, don't worry."
We continued to walk down the very long path and down a few flight of stairs until we finally came to a rusty blue metal door. Klaus opened it with with a key, having a bit of a struggle trying to turn it. He pushed opened the door, revealing a very warm and welcoming bedroom.
"What it this?" I asked, curious to know why there was a bedroom underneath the palace like this, hidden away. He looked down at me and smirked.
"Well, it's a safe room. We all have one, and then there's the family one. But I thought I'd bring you to this one. It's very cozy and comfy. There's a fire, and nice warm bed, we fill.it up with food every two weeks. I bright food in here today." He explained.
"So this is all for me?" I asked.
"And me." I raised an eyebrow, crossing my arms. "We've shared a room before, what's so different about this?" I walked in, trying to ignore his intense stare.
I sat down on the bed, instantly wanting to go to sleep. "It is quite cozy." He walked over to me, leaning in close.
"That's why I chose this room." His lips locked with mine, moving in sync. He pushed me down gently, hovering over me. My hands found their way under his shirt, while his tracked up and down my legs.
I suddenly flinched from another loud boom. It sounded distant, but I knew it was close by.
"I can't." I said, now getting up.
"Can't what?" Klaus asked.
"This. I can't sit back while my brother and father out their lives in danger. I should be out there too." He sat beside me, listening to every word that came out of my mouth.
"I understand, but I was told to keep you safe. You're the last princess to your country's royal line. We have to protect you most of all. Nothing can happen to you. Please, stay here until this is all over." I scoffed.
"You want me to stay down here for several years. You know wars don't last a short period of time. It takes about seven years until it ends. I'll be old by then." I exaggerated. He sighed in defeat, knowing my stubbornness all too well.
"So the you want to go out and save the world, huh?" I looked at him, about go answer, but in one swift motion, he hovered over me again.
"What are you doing Klaus?" I asked in a serious tone.
"If you're gonna ago and risk your life, then I want to make sure we do this before any one of us dies during this terrible war." He said, as he leaned dangerously close to me.
"What do you mean?" I asked. His lips brushed against my ear, and he whispered the answer to my question.
"We can't die virgins now. Well, at least not you." My face grew extremely red, I'm sure sure of it.
"Klaus, no." He sighed, sitting down next to me. He surprised me by not pushing the subject any further. I yawned, feeling extremely tired. I crawled to the other side of the bed, pulling the covers so I could get under them. Once I laid in bed, all comfortable and somewhat at ease, I tried to let myself fall asleep. I felt Klaus lay down beside me, his heat radiating of him to me. His arm wrapped around my waist, pulling me closer to him.
