recap: so Joker sent Belle roses and told her that he loves her and still has eyes on her and that she is now the new batgirl.
It's been a week since I became batgirl and I honestly love it. Even though Damian is gone at the moment, it gives me time to be with Bruce which is great. At first we did the regular missions like someone robbing a bank, but just yesterday we put Mr. Freeze behind bars. It was a challenge for me because of his ice, but I managed to come out with only a few cuts on me. I haven't gotten anything from Joker either which is making me a little paranoid but I'm pretty sure it's nothing right? He's probably planning to rob another bank. I love him and all but doesn't it get boring doing the same crimes over again? My thoughts were cut off by Bruce knocking on my door.
"Belle, there's a hostage situation going on suit up." He closed the door and I went to my closet pulling out the suit. I ran my fingers over the material of the sleeve while I was holding it up by the hanger. I appreciate that it was Barbara's suit but I wanted to change it up. A cape always got in the way anyways so I just quickly removed the cape to make it look like s regular one piece. I quickly changed and made my way to the batmobile hopping in with Bruce next to me.
"So what's up with this hostage situation?"
"Penguin's minions thinking they could have some fun. "
Batman and I were standing on the roof above them trying to be smart about our plan.
"Bruce how about I distract while you sneak up and take them down."
"I would say do that but it's suspicious how it's just them. Stay here."
"But-" I was cut off by him flying down into the building.
"Ugh stubborn bat," I say while kicking at a non-existent rock.
"Hello batgirl."
I quickly turn around with my fists up ready to punch anyone. I dropped my hands when I saw that it was Joker.
"J what are you doing here," I sighed.
" Just wanted to chit chat. My distraction actually worked on you guys. Isn't it great what you can make other people do for money?" He chuckled.
"Wait you paid Penguin's minions?! What do you really want." A smile crept onto his face while he circled around me and tsked.

"Well darling you actually went through with this even though you said you wouldn't....I can't deny you look good in that suit though." He stopped in front of my and pulled my bottom lip down with his finger. He then gently grabbed my chin and said," If you loved me why do this?"
He gently kissed my lips and ran his hand down my arm making me shiver from his touch. I blinked a few times and pulled back shaking my head.
"No J stop getting in my head that isn't going to make me come back sooner." At this point my eyes were watering up because of how much I missed him but I couldn't give in easily.
"Babe come back I know you miss me. I admit I miss you too. You're making me do more crazy things darling. We can put this whole batgirl thing behind us. Now what do you say?"
My mouth slightly hung open thinking of what to say. Before I can stop myself I whispered," I'm happy." J frowned and gave a dangerous look. "What did you say."

"I-I'm happy being batgirl." His eyes filled with a mixture of betrayal, anger, and hurt. His face immediately turned angry and he was about to say something to me but was cut off.

"Joker leave her alone," Bruce said from behind me. Joker's eyes went from Bruce then back to me and he gave me a sadistic smile that made my blood run cold.
"Ha ha... Darling you made a mistake." He stepped back into the shadows leaving just Bruce and I alone.
"I'm surprised you didn't take him Bruce." He put his hand on my shoulder and pulled my into his side.
"I don't want you to hate me. Plus he needed to hear that you were happy."
"C-can we just go home now." He nodded his head and took us back to the batmobile.
It was currently 2 a.m and I was sitting in a chair at the island we had in the kitchen swirling some left over wine I had in my glass. I sighed and rested my face in my hand and just stared at my red wine. Red like his lips. No I couldn't think like this.
"Penny for your thoughts Ms. Wayne?" I turned my head and saw Alfred enter the kitchen and stand on the other side of the island in front of me.
"Why does this break feel more like a break-up?"
"Care to elaborate?"
"Well I know I said I wanted to take a break but breaks are temporary. This feels like an actual break-up. You should've seen his face when I told him I was happy I'm so stupid I feel like he doesn't love me anymore."
"Well Isabelle," my eyes quickly met his because he hasn't called me that in years," After what you two have been through together I'm certain he still loves you. Even though he's a psychotic clown I know you're different to him from what I know." He took the wine out of my hand dumping it into the sink. "No matter what he says or what he does, remember it's all for you Belle."
"You don't think he'll hurt me right? He told me I made a mistake and gave me a sadistic smile."
"Well I can't promise you on that because of how unpredictable he is, but it's up to you to decide what's best."
"Promise you won't tell Bruce about this conversation?" Alfred gave me a warm smile and nodded.
"Still the same Isabelle."
So Isabelle and Alfred have a father daughter relationship and I wanted to show more of it. Plus poor Joker right. Btw do you guys like it when I put pictures?
