A/N: I know, I know, my updates are slow. But I have Markiplier and anime to watch tho, my dudes. Be happy and take this chapter, okey?

Narrator's POV:
"Made a deal long ago, or not...what?!" Dipper repeated what Ford said, confused and even more concerned. "Yes," Ford started. "But either way, we'll need to be prepared for the apocalypse." "But what about Y/ N?" Mabel asked. "Don't worry, we'll get to her really soon. But first Mabel, I have a quest that I need you to go on. One that involves getting unicorn hair to protect the shack." Mabel's eyes widened at the word unicorn.

Ford went on to explain about the unicorn hair to Mabel, and she went off with Candy, Grenda, and Wendy to go retrieve it, as you know the story goes. But back in the shack, after Grunkle Ford showed Dipper the crack in the globe that held the rip in space time, Dipper finally got some answers about his beloved Y/ N.

"Now that you know why I was all serious about your Y/N's situation back there, I'll take you to go see someone who can probably explain it better than I can. Rose." "Who's Rose?" Dipper asked him. "Rose is Y/N's grandma. She, Fiddleford and I used to go looking for weirdness, hunting for monsters, and doing research." "You know Y/N's grandma?!" Dipper exclaimed. "Yes, and she was an awful great partner to work with. Until it was just me and Fiddleford." "What happened to her?" "Oh, well, me and Ol' F started to fall for her in our early days, which didn't work out like we wanted. Heh heh..." Ford was starting to blush slightly.  Dipper looked at him expectantly, wanting to hear more. "We competed for her in what we thought were valiant acts of love, which, if it wasn't embarrassing enough after we all got over that, we had the first incident with Bill that made her leave. That one was...not good." "What do you mean?" Dipper asked. "Maybe I should leave that for her to tell you." Ford replied, as he started gathering things up for the walk down to your old summer residence. "Come along then, Dipper! If you want answers, Do we'll have 'em! I just hope she'll share them with us."

As the pair of them came up the hill and saw your grandmother's house, Dipper became excited, and Ford nervous and slightly blushy. They came up to the door, and knocked softly. It sounded like someone was moving around in there, but the lights were off. Dipper was about to knock again, until the door suddenly swung open, revealing Rose. "HAVE YOU COME TO STEAL MY EYES?!" she screamed at the intruders. She...didn't look the best. Gray hair all frizzy, bags under her old eyes, wearing a crusty looking nightgown, and holding up a crossbow at the two, made her look not at all like the person Dipper expected to see. When she yelled, Dipper jumped back a few feet and let out a yelp. Ford just flinched. "Calm down Rose, it's just me, Ford." Rose stared at him for awhile in confusion before it clicked, and the hugest smile grew on her face as she pounced on him and gave him a bear hug, laughing the whole time.

Dipper regained his courage and went back up to stand next to Ford. "Oh, and who's this, Fordsie?" "Fordsie? Pfff..." Dipper thought. "Hi, I'm Dipper. I'm Fordsie's nephew." Dipper said  putting emphasis on the nickname. Ford looked annoyed and embarrassed at the name. "Well hello there, Dipper. I'm Grandma Rose, but you can just call me Rose...say...are you the boy my Y/ N keeps talking about?" "S-She talks about me?!" Now it was Dipper's turn to get embarrassed. But he was also secretly enjoying that you told your grandma about him. "Well, used to talk about you. She hasn't since she's been gone..." At that, Rose started to get a little teary-eyed. "Its alright, Rose. We're actually here to help you with that." Ford replied, calming her down rather quickly. "Really? That would be so nice! I can't imagine having to tell her parents that a dream demon took her while she was here!" "You haven't told her parents yet?" Dipper asked, now slightly skeptical about Rose's sanity. "Of course not! Would you?" She looked at Dipper like he had just asked the dumbest question in the world. Dipper thought for a moment. "I suppose not." "See? Well why don't you two come inside, and we'll have a chat about what to do about this predicament, shall we?"
