Amalia

I walked up to the door after she had gone in. Looking around, I wondered how I had even managed to own a house.

It was a two story house with lilac painted weather boards on the second storey, and bricks on the first storey. There was a balcony up the top, with wooden pillars supporting it. The wooden pillars had shades to block the sun, the roof was tiled and had a chimney, as houses do. The door was a maroon sort of colour, and the windows had the same colours trimming.

I felt like I was being watched.
I looked around and saw a red headed man. It was Mike. And Ike was there too.
I opened the door as quickley and as quietly as I could. I went inside, wincing when I stepped on a creaky floorboard. I moved my foot onto a solid floorboard that didn't creak, and continued on. I crept down the hallway, and went into a bedroom. I saw a book on the bedside table. I read the title. 'The Shadow of What Was Lost'
Wasn't I reading that?
Moving on, I continued down the hallway, unfazed by the thought.

I found a closed door, opened it, and wandered in.
I stood there gaping.
Library.
There were shelves that went halfway up the wall. And this was a tall room too. There were ladders that rolled along the shelves. Which was cool. There were giant armchairs, with extra cushions. There was a reading nook in the corner, with a bunch of beanbags, giant teddy bears and pillows.
While I stood there gaping, I failed to hear the redhead girl sneak up on me.

"Who are you?"

I almost missed that.
I whipped my head around and crouched. She had just made her lunch, and was looking at me with shock. I probably looked the same.

She looked like I should.
Exactly, like I should.
"What the hell is going on" I mumbled.

She had a round face, with icy blue eyes, pale skin, and raven black hair. She was wearing the same outfit as before. With the jeans, and hoodie. She had taken off her shoes, and looked like she had just made lunch, as she had a sandwich in her hand.

I stared at her, she stared at me.
This went on for a few minutes.
"Who are you" She repeated.

I looked at her for. Couple of minutes.
"Amalia."
This startled her.
"What?"
"You asked who I was. My name is Amalia."
She was silent for a bit.
"This is the part where you tell me your name..."
"Wren," She said.
"My name's Wren."

I stared at her.
So this is who Mike and Ike were looking for!

I sat down on the floor. Gestured for her to do the same. She did.
"What is going on?' Wren asked me.

"I have no idea."
