No More Reason

Marinette pov

I wake up and start to feel bad again. My argument with chat has lasted for weeks now. I just can't help feeling sad for the way he treated me. Walking to class i slide next to Alya. I hide my face from Adrian who sits in front of me. "Girl what is going on with you and Adrian?" Alya asks me with a look that said no details left out now talk. "Nothing i just don't feel well." I reply giving her a pout. "Are you okay?" "Do you want to go to the nurse?" She asks worried about me. For once going to the nurse sounded like a good idea. I nod my head and whisper a thanks. After class started i told the teacher i was not feeling well. I told her that i needed to go to the nurses office. She looked at me and nods her head. "Just take the pass before you leave" is all she said. I get up grab the pass and walk out the class room.

Adrain pov

I am sitting in my normal seat with Nino. All of sudden Marinette asks to go see the nurse. she does look pale. The teacher allows her to leave. I swear i see Marinette crying as she walks past me. I recalled the words Lady Bug had said to me before she left. About how she tried to show me her civilian form but i had crossed the line with the words i said. I kept thinking during the week about which girl could have been my lady. The one that i said the most awful things to was Marinette. I gasp as realization hit me like a ton of bricks. It can't be Mari is Lady Bug. As i thought about it everything became painfully obvious. I mean her hair for starters and then her eyes. Those eyes i stared non stop at those beautiful shinning blue eyes. I gulped Mari was right. I defiantly crossed the line now i was paying the price for my words that hurt her. Even still apart of me hoped that i was wrong, but my heart told a different story.

Marinette pov

I am laying in the nurses room. Tearful the nurse tells me i do have a fever and that my parents would pick me up soon. I get up to grab my school bag from the lockers but something did not feel right. My instinks are right as screams are heard from the classroom. Running i finally reach where the akumatized victim is starting trouble. It was of course the new kid in class. Quickly i found a place to transform. Tiki spots on i yelled. There i was ready to rescue the poor guy. "Chloe" the teenage boy shouted. "you will pay for bullying me." Chloe did not look scared at all. That is until the teen started throwing what looked like green flames. I could not wait anymore. I start to taunt the boy making him chase me out of the school and into the basketball court. This was safer then in the school. "Listen don't try to stop me from hurting Chloe." The boy says with rage in his eyes. A couple minutes go by. Something is being ordered by none other than Hock moth. "Get her miraculous." Hock Moth demands. The teen gritts his teeth together and replies yes Hock Moth. I only ran when i found out those green flames were actually acid. Not to mention i did not know where the little akuma was hiding. What seems like years chat finally shows up. "It took you long enough" i yell in anger. He looks at me his eyes downcast. "Sorry my lady" He says in a monotone voice. I sigh. Look we can talk later right now we have to stop this boy." I say in frustration. Chat nods in agreement. "What power does he have?" chat asks. "He has powers that allow him to shoot acid" i reply. Chat runs distracting the boy and i look for where the akuma could be hiding. I spot a locket on his neck and figure this is it. I dash for the locket but i am too slow and the teens acid hands go through where my heart is. Shocked i gasp for air. Falling to the ground in pain. Lady Bug is all i hear when i start to drift off.

Adrain pov

The fight with this boy was difficult but i still had hope we could beat him. I continued to distract him but before i knew it he had shot acid through Lady Bugs chest. The site was worse than any nightmare i could have. "Lady bug" i shout mortified by what i see. Here infront of me is my lady. She is coughing up blood. her suit is beginning to dissolve with the acid and as if things could not get worse a bright red mist surrounded her body. Showing my worst fears to be true. "Marinette" i scream. Desperately trying to keep her attention on me so she would not go to sleep. I knew if she fell asleep she would most likely die. I kneel beside her pulling her body in my arms. She feels so cold and limp. Coughing and gasping for air she lookes at me. A sad smile on her face. I almost forget that the battle was not over yet. Gritting my teeth i shout. "you bastard get out here now" i demand. Fire is raging through my blood. I never hated anyone in my entire life but this guy i not only hated i despise. The akumatized teen just ran strait at me. His whole body now covered in acid. What i did not see coming was how my body began to turn into a dark mist. Crap i can't change now but instead of going back into my civilian self. I am clad in dark green and black armor. What the hell is this? I kept on staring at my self when a shock goes through my body making me go unconscious. A few seconds later i wake up. I am standing over the boy with the moth gripped in my hand. The boy was asleep. I was going to ask what happened when i paled remembering Marinette was hurt. I run to her. She is bleeding out of her chest profusely. Her eyes glazing over and her clothes were torn. She is growing more and more cold by the minute. Tears envelope my eyes. I grab her frail body. She looks at me with another sad smile on her face. What she says next broke my heart. "What didn't you say i was just another lying bitch." Now that you see its me and that i really am lady bug you give a shit about me." She starts to darkly laugh. Tears are escaping down her cheeks. "Well to firkin late she spat in a tone of hatred." My world crashes as she fell lifeless in my embrace. I sob knowing that even if there is only a little hope she is still alive. I dash for the near by hospital. Screaming "i need a doctor please help." Running to my aid a nurse gasps as she sees Mari in my arms. The nurse puts the phone to her ear and shouts "i need the ER on back up now." "I have a girl who is near death." She then ends the call. I watch helplessly as nurses and a doctor zoomed past me with Mari on the rolling hospital bed. Into the emergency room she went . "Call her parents" i hear the doctor say. One of the nurses nods heading to the phone. She calls my name Chat and asks me who this girls parents are. I tell her and she dials the number. A couple of rings later and Maris mother is on the phone. "Yes this is the Dupangchang bakery here." "What would you like to order?" A sad voice was at the end of the phone. "Ma'm i am sorry to say this but i am calling from the cherrypill hospital." "We have your daughter here in critical condition and need to do an emergency surgery on her now." "If we dont she could die." Marionettes mom panicks. " I will be right there please go head with the surgery" she says with sobs. The phone is hung up. The nurse asks what happened and i tell her a made up version of what happened. The lady wrote what i said down and thanks me for the information. I sit in the waiting room. Whispering to my self that if Marinette dies then there is no reason to be a supper hero any more.
