"TGIF!" I yelled as Tom and I plopped down on the soft grass by the lake.
Tom looked at me funny "What on earth does that mean?"
I forgot what year I was in some of the time. I was used to covering up quickly.
"Oh, I'm just inventing new words Tgif is a word of gratitude."
"Oh, lovely!" Tom said placing a blanket down.
I lied on my back and breathed in the warm flower smelling air.
"It's such a beautiful day." I said.
Tom lied down next to me and sighed.
I turned on my side to look at him.
"What are you doing for Christmas Break?"
Tom turned on his side as well "Staying here."
"Why?" I asked
"I live at an orphanage."
I let out a gasp. "Your an-"
"Yes." Tom said quickly "My father was a muggle. My mum was a witch. She fell in love with him and gave him love potion. He left when he found out she was a witch. He left us to die. She gave birth to me in an orphanage. Named me after my father and grandfather."
Tom looked deep in thought "Her last words were 'I hope he looks like his papa'."
"That's awful." I said "Love is weird."
"Yea with all that kissing and stuff." Tom said.
"I wonder what kissing is like?" I said dreamily.
"Girls are so silly. With there fantasies about love."
"Love is very powerful Tom." I said, brushing hair out of my eyes.
"Maybe we should try kissing. You know, just to see what it's like." Tom said, blushing red.
"Alright. Close your eyes. 1. 2. 3!"
We pecked each other on the lips.
Then we burst out laughing.
"Let's never do that again!" I said
"Until we are older!" Tom added
"Agreed!" We chorused.
