Kimiko at school

"Here we are, I want you to behave and do what the teacher says." Yuuri said handing her, her bag. "Don't be afraid to make any new friends." Added Viktor. "I know she will." They shared a kiss making her blush a little and some students laugh a bit and feel a bit grossed out. "Be good, Kimiko." They said hugging her.

She walked into school to find some students whispering stuff and trying to not laugh at her. Kimiko thought they're talking about something funny like a video of a cat riding a floor-cleaner in a silly costume. She made it to her classroom just in time and the teacher went through an English lesson. She took notes for an upcoming test. She's a good student and has decent grades. "Kimiko-san, that's nice hair bow."
"Thank you, Ayishi-san my dads bought it for me and they said that blue is a pretty color on me."
"How interesting, do they do PDA often?" She shook her head. "It's their personal business not yours." Up on the roof, she was eating a port cutlet bowl trying to ignore the way Ayishi-san talked to her. What's wrong with having two dads? I don't see anything wrong with that. One student watched from the other side with concern written on his face. "Kimi-san, is everything okay?" She looked at the red haired student walking with her to her next class. She nodded, "There's no need for you to worry, Kyoshi-senpai, I'm fine." He wasn't gonna drop this easily.

3 days later...

Kimiko was on the verge of tears after today's class was dismissed. "Kastsuki-san, is everything okay?" He asked concerned of his student looking like she was gonna break down crying. She wiped away some tears forming in her eyes saying, "I-I'm okay, Suoh-sensei. Thank you for your concern."  The kids that have been picking on her only made it worse for her. Kyoshi-senpai watched as Kimiko ate her lunch.  Some tears fell in her bento as the others kept teasing her. He couldn't help but feel bad for her. Why didn't she tell her dads about the mean students bullying her. Is she afraid how they'll react?

"Katsuki-san, read the first passage on your history book." She nodded as she rose from her seat and began to read. Her hands trembled slightly making her book shake a little and some tears well up in her eyes. The way Aishi-san teased her still replayed in her mind as she choked back the tears. "A-After the United S-States d-dropped the atomic b-bomb on H-Hiroshima..." Aishi-san tittered a bit. "Katsuki-san, are you feeling okay?" She lowered her head slightly letting some tears fall from her eyes and on her desk. "I-I'm fine Tsubaki-S-Sensei. P-Perfectly fine." The other students were concerned and some were silently laughing at her.

After school, Kimiko finally let the waterfall of tears fall from her eyes as she cried up a storm. "Why do I have to be the bullying victim?"
"Kimi-san! Are you okay?" She shook her head, "No, I'm not okay! Ever since I got adopted, I've been getting teased for having two dads instead of a mom and dad!" Kyoshi-senpai was taken aback, he's never seen Kimiko this upset before. Come to think of it, he hasn't seen her upset at all. He brought her close for a hug in hopes of making her feel better and have a shoulder to cry on. "Kimi-san, I didn't know you'd be this upset." She cried even harder. "You're gonna be okay, I'll find a way to stop you from getting teased one way or another, I promise." He took her blue glasses off and wiped away her tears. "You'll be okay, Kimi-san." She brought him closer with no intention of letting him go.

The next day, Kimiko went to class to find Suoh-sensei scolding the students in her class for picking on her those past 3 days. "What did I tell you, I told you I'd stop you from getting teased." She smiled at Kyoshi-senpai for helping her. "I better get to my class, see you later Kimi-san!" She waved at him and went to class where it went without anyone picking on her. Looks like the school day is gonna be a good one for her.

After school, Kimiko looked at the setting sun with a big smile on her face. "Today was a good day, wasn't it Kimi-san." She nodded. "You want me to walk with you home, it's okay if you don't want to I-" She held his wrist gently. "It's okay, I would like that very much." She and Kyoshi-senpai walked to her home together talking for a little bit. "Kimi-san, there's something I need to tell you," she looked over at with cutiousity, "my mom and grandma are going to New York for a little family vacation."
"That sounds fun." She said happily. "I'll try to contact you, depending on the time zone of course." Kimiko adjusted her glasses and gave him a tender and friendly look. "I hope you have a fun family vacation and bring me something from New York."
"I'll try, Kimi-san." They made it to the hot spring. "This is your stop."
"See you in school, Kyoshi-senpai!" She said waving at him. She saw Viktoria's teacher walk with her. "T-Thank you, s-sensei." She said faltering a little in Japanese. Both girls made it inside waiting for their fathers to return from  prolonged skating practice at the ice rink.
