I only pulled away for oxygen, which I was running out of.

  "J-Jack..? Wh-"

"Just wanted to show you that you have nothing to be jealous of," he smiled.

My cheeks were so heated I thought they might start melting.

  "Uh... R-right.."

Jack seemed to be waiting for something; He was staring right at me.

"Well?" He inquired when I began to stare back.

  "Why're you staring at me?"

"Oh, for Christ's sake! You said I wasn't your boyfriend... Then I kissed you. What does that tell you?"

"You... Want to be my boyfriend?" I asked in obvious disbelief.

"Oh my God, it's a miracle!" he laughed. "Yes, Mark. I'd love to be your boyfriend."

I smiled a bit before Thomas crossed my mind, along with his exact intentions.

"... Thomas won't stop until he gets what he wants. And he says he wants you."

  "So?"

"So you may be in danger. I recommend you stay out of town. He probably knows where you live, and if he doesn't, he can easily find out. He surely knows where I live already, and it'll be the first place he looks."

  "... You're right."

"Unfortunately, I know. You should leave as soon as you can," I paused, lowering my voice and looking down. "I... I don't want you getting hurt."

I saw Jack smile warmly out of my peripheral vision, though the worry was still evident in his expression.

"... Alright. I'll leave as soon as I grab a few things from home. But first," he tilted my chin up, "another kiss?"

I smiled, chuckling a bit, "Of course," and connected our lips again. When Jack pulled away, he immediately started towards the door.

With a side smile and the cutest wave I've ever seen, he was gone.
