The sound of metal crushing against each other woke me from out of my deep slumber. My eyes opened and a groggy feeling set in. I didn't have time to react when a crash was heard and millions of tiny shards of glass went flying. This woke me up.

A beast stood before me with his muzzle in a snarl and his shimmering silver eyes staring deep into mine. I laid on my bed, still as a rock and did not make any sudden movements. The beast's growling slowly stopped and now was staring deep into my eyes. I was hoping it couldn't see the fear in my eyes and posture as it stood to stare.

The first crack of a bone sounded and many followed.

My head turned, unable to watch the man shift from beast to man.

Once completed he lurched forward and grabbed onto my bed for stabilization. He was now closer to me.

His head snapped up. Despite the pitch-black darkness currently keeping me from viewing the rest of this mysterious man's body, his silver eyes were as bright as the moon that shone its mellow beams through my smashed window and into my room.

"W-W" I tried to speak but words wouldn't form on my tongue. The man growled at me, his eyes narrowing. He took one big sniff and growled ferociously.

"You smell." His deep baritone voice rang out. I cringed back, offended.

I looked down and sniffed the bottom of Chris's shirt. It smelt like him.

"I don't." I looked back into his mesmerizing eyes.

"Of him." He bared his teeth. In a flash, I felt his hand on the hem of the big shirt ripping it in half. I squealed, shocked, and grabbed onto the shirt to hide his view from my bra clad breasts.

"Hey!" I ripped the shirt from his grasp. He growled once more.

His hands went to swirl one of my long brown locks around his pointer finger. His eyes roamed around my face.

"Beautiful." He said. I felt a blush rise on my cheeks.

"W- what's your name?" I asked him. His finger stayed in my hair as he regarded me.

"Giorgio, my love." My breath caught in my throat. My love.

"Marion," I told him. He grabbed my hand softly and placed a tender kiss on the backside.

"Marion my love, my mate."

I screamed, falling to the ground right as the bullet hit the stop where my head would have been. A growl so deadly ripped through the startled air and sent a shiver down my spine. I Hugged my head and looked as Enzo tackled the female to the ground and pinned her.

Two men came bustling through the door. One pulled Enzo off the woman who seemed to be crying as Enzo shouted a mixture of colourful words at her while the other took slow steps towards me. I watched as he kneeled and smiled.

"Hello, I'm not going to hurt you okay? You are completely fine. Can you understand me?" The man had long brown hair that was tied up in a bun. He stared at me with kind chocolate brown eyes.

I frowned and glared at him.

"Yes I can understand you, I'm not illiterate!" I snapped him. I didn't see the reason for snapping at him but I'm guessing the adrenaline coursing through me was to blame. My response must have surprised him because he leaned back with a shocked expression.
