Maz's Point Of View
"Come on man, you need to rest" Caspar said as he placed his hand on my shoulder. "I'm not leaving her side till she wakes up." I said, whilst not taking my eyes off her. "well at least eat something?" Said Mum She was on the other side of the bed, rubbing the back of Alice's hand with her thumb. "I'm not hungry" I mumbled back in reply.
"Maz you haven't slept or eaten since yesterday!" Said Sam from the corner of the room. "I'm fine" I mumbled again, but slightly louder.
"Can I come in?" I heard Sophie's voice from behind me, it made me feel sick to hear it. "You done this" I said quietly. "pardon?" She asked confused. "you done this, to my sister!" I began to raise my voice and slowly get up from my chair. "My sister could have been fine, if you didn't ask her to walk you home!!" I was now shouting and my eyes were becoming glassy. "Now Marius stop!" mum yelled "this could have been anyone! but it just happened to be Alice! now stop blaming people, because it's no ones fault!" mum broke down into tears and cried onto the blanket on the bed. "I'm so sorry.." Sophie said whilst running her fingers through her hair. "you better go" Caspar said as he walked her out the door.
"Right" mum said as she wiped her tears. "Boys, go take Him to the Canteen please" she pulled a £20 note out of her purse and handed it to Sam. "no mum, I'm not leaving her side" I protested. "I mean it Marius! you need to eat!" Mum said in a strong tone. "And besides nothing is going to happen to Alice, she'll be fine Marius. I promise" mum got up and kissed my forehead. "okay... let's go" I said as I rose from my seat.
Alice's Point Of View
I could feel my mum gently rubbing her thumb on the back of my hand. As she done this I fought as hard as I could to move. But I just couldn't, my whole body was shut down, yet my mind was awake. "come on my darling, please wake up" I heard my mum say croakily from next to me. It hurt to hear my mum upset, and the fact I can't move to comfort her made it even worse. "Marius wouldn't leave your side ever since you came in here" said mum.
"when I got the phone call saying that you had been hit by a car...... I just couldn't believe it, I said to them 'you dialled the wrong number, My Alice is at a party' but then Marius called me and said you was here." mum then took a deep breath and carried on. "as soon as I got to your room Maz, Caspar and Sam were here. It looked as if they had all been crying, I hugged them all and said 'She will pull through this, when has Alice ever stopped fighting?'"
Mum was right, I never stop fighting. So I used all my strength to try and move. But all I was able to do for the moment was to hold onto my mums hand for a few seconds. "Omg! you held my hand!" Mum said in excitement "soon you can open your eyes"
Maz's Point Of View
I sat there just starring at my sandwich, I really wasn't in the mood for eating anything."listen guys, it's getting late. you should head home" I said to Caspar and Sam. "you sure man" Sam asked. "yeah go, I'm fine" I said with a fake smile. "okay, update me on how she is though" Caspar said as he pulled me into a hug. "will do"
Just as the boys walked away my phone started to ring... it was mum. "Marius come here quick!" mum said with worry in the voice. "I'm comming!" I said as sprinted towards the lift.

I got to Alice's room to see doctors and nurses surrounding her, they were saying all these big words. "Marius" mum came running over to me crying. "what they doing to her?" my eyes became glassy. "she's done into cardiac arrest sweetheart" mum cried into my chest. "clear" one of the doctors spoke, then Alice's lifeless body was shocked into the air. "nothing" a nurse said. "one more time.... clear" said the doctor. Alice's body was shocked into the air again, "she's back" said the nurse. "thank god!" mum said as she ran over to Alice and kissed her forehead. "I'll leave you to it" said the doctor. "thank you" mum smiled, then turned her attention back to Alice.
