As soon as I get into my bed I scream into my pillow, I wish I hadn't been so blunt with Alfie. Everywhere I went he was there and my morning antics had made it very awkward.
My phone lights up and I pull it towards me, ripping out my plaits and letting my hair flow freely.

15:42; Please can we talk? Alfie x

I contemplate whether to just ignore it, I mean I could go meet Elliot and be carefree, or I could try and rekindle whatever summer passion that is still there.
I sigh, I can't leave things the way they are now, I'm not living in a state of awkwardness for the next year.

15:52; what places do you know? Violet x

My phone buzzes with a reply almost instantly, he's keen.

15:53; the beach is the only place I know, meet me in 10? A xx

I drag myself off my bed to my window, I feel knackered, but all the same I owe Alfie an apology.

15:57; sure thing. V x

I reach into my draw and pull out a pair of shorts, I tug them on and reach into my wardrobe for a t-shirt. I choose a light pink nirvana shirt and I tie my hair into a loose pony tail. Trainers on, I runs downstairs,

"I'm going out for a bit, I'll be home for tea I think!"

"Okay love, just text me an hour earlier if you won't be." Mum calls back.

I stroll along the road to the sea front, leaning against the railings, no sign of Alfie yet.

16:00; I decided to meet Alfie, I felt bad for this morning, wish me luck :/ V x

16:02; good luck, hope all goes to plan, he's super cute ;) E x

" Hey" a soft voice murmurs behind me, " Sorry I'm a bit late."
I turn to see Alfie stood, hands in his pockets, he looks as hot as ever.
"That's okay," I whisper, so quietly my voice is almost carried off in the warm sea breeze.
We talk for an hour, lay on the warm tingling sand, laughing at old stories and acting like little kids. How could I think I didn't want to see him? He's perfect.

"You know who has a thing for you?" He says chuckling, "Joey! He didn't stop talking about how good you look all day!" He lets out a laugh, "I have to say I agree to a very large extent," he winks and my heart flutters like its filled with butterflies.

"Well if I actually spoke to any of the girls I'm sure I could tell you that plenty of them have a thing for you."

"So that guy, the one you walked off with this morning, is he your boyfriend?"

I laugh "No he, erm, plays for the other team if you get me."

"Erm? I don't get you?"

I roll my eyes and laugh once again', "he's gay!"

"Ohhh, I was a bit worried, that, well you know,"

I giggle, pulling myself to my feet.
"I should probably get going," I say, reluctantly, I wish I didn't have to.

"Oh, well it was nice seeing you!" His eyes brighten as he grabs me by the hand and pulls me towards him. He reaches down to my waist and pulls me until our faces are millimetres away from each other, our lips touch and fireworks explode through my whole body. Everyone on the beach looks towards us and my face goes red as I pull away.
"I'll text you later," I say breathless.

"I'm glad, I really like you Vi,"

"I like you too."
