♥️2,728 likes scorplants As a coming-of-age gift for my birthday earlier this year my dad gave me his Malfoy signet ring, but I didn't want it. I can't really explain why, but I felt like I couldn't take it from him. The Malfoy name means a lot to him (despite what he says) but I've never really thought it was that important. Being a Malfoy always felt like a huge weight on my shoulders, that I was never worthy of accepting. I'm not clean cut and perfectly presented like my dad is; I'm messy and imperfect, yes I may be a Slytherin but I'm shy and awkward and have a weird love for herbolgy so only Merlin knows why I wasn't put in Hufflepuff. But today was was my anniversary: 2 years of dating Albus Potter. And he got me this ring. It doesn't represent us. It represents me. He told me that yes I am my own person and yes I may be imperfect, but I am strong and protective and proud, it's who I have become that makes me a Malfoy.
