The secruity man opened the limo door and escorted me to the lion's gate, also known as Carlington's golden gate. The gate was 5 yards high and was made out pure gold with two marble lion statues on the sides.
"If you follow the stone path, it'll lead you to the main building. It's in front of a lion fountain." I nodded at his simple directions and began dragging my luggage onto the stone path. The place was a bit too large for an academy; a building for each subject a normal student would see in one building. Finally, I made it to the lion fountain and walked into the main building, following the labels to the registration office.
I opened the door, greeted by the white simplicity walls of a rich public school, and trudged towards the grey-haired lady behind the counter. She looked up towards my face and scowled. Such a beautiful greeting.
"A. I. M. P.? P. I. S. P.?" I nodded firmly, studying the different shades of grey checkered floors. "Last name."
"C- Parkers." I said, searching through my bag for my personal information and handing it to the lady. "Parkers." There was a row of empty black chairs surrounding a table. Waiting room perhaps? I was expecting a whole boat load of interns and students but, I was the only one in here. The old lady cuts off my thoughts by slamming the drawers.
"Here's a map, your dorm keys, and the wifi password. If you haven't read the rules yet, they'll be on the school website." She gave me a set of keys, my portfolio and two pieces of papers. "Go to the girl's dorms building and the room B27 of the north floor. There's a meeting at 7 tonight. You'll be meeting your dorm advisor, the headmaster, and the headmaster's son. Then tomorrow, you'll be touring the Exibit. Any questions you'd like to ask?" She says fast.
"Is there a specific name to the part I'm touring? Other than the space exhibit?" I asked out of curiousity. The lady stopped everything she was typing and stared up at me with a confused look.
"Uh- her name is Rose." She stutters.
"Rose? For the planetary?" It is beautiful and all but a plant for a planet?
"Rose stands for Representation of Space Exploration." She chuckles and puts her glasses down, letting me see her beautiful blue eyes. "Miss Parkers, I'm looking foward to see you in the duration of your stay. You're still 17, hopefully you consider applying for Carlington." I widen my eyes at her sudden kindness; a bit confuse on what to say.
"Uh- yes, I'll definetly consider..." I squinted my eyes at her name tag. "Ms Marylenne." She nods once more before typing away. I took my bags and went to find the dorms.
