The day presented itself warmly and hazily, an unexpected and uninvited sort of feeling, especially combined with the torrid scent of gasoline soaked car rugs. The near vibrant sapphire and verdant checks on a plaid shirt sat in front of me, leaving me to the wonders of having to suppress urges to go to the bathroom. And then there was the birthday party I had yet to attend. Hopefully the old junkyard car would not guzzle any more resources, although in practicality I knew it would.
