"That's the last of them", my happy go lucky mom exclaimed as she put my last box in the back of her Range Rover.
I could tell she was really happy, her smile reached from ear to ear.
"Get in baby, this is a long ride".
For the next 4 hours I binge watched Gossip Girl as I munched away at my Pringles.
"You're making me really hungry McKenna, can I have one?".
I laughed whole heartedly, I don't know why but the fear and nerves were completely gone and all I could think about was what's to come.
"Sure mom". I place a Pringle in her mouth and go right back to my show.
5 hours pass by now, we're nearing my new home, our new home. I put my phone away as I watch the road, getting further and further from what I once called home.
I watch as my mom drives past a big school, I wondered if that was my school. As I looked at it more I wondered the stories of those kids attending the school. Is there anyone like me? I was lost in my own thought when I realized we were already in our new driveway.
"Wow, mom this house is gorgeous!", I scream with excitement.
Who knew her smile could get even bigger, but it did, "AAHH I'm so glad you like it baby".
I flew out of the car and looked at my beautiful house: it stood tall and powerful, it's eggshell white color let on it has been through it's years as a faint sight of yellow started becoming visible.
I went upstairs into my new room and was pleased at what I saw. A smile spread across my face as I noticed how big it was. My first plan for my room was replacing that hollow wall with my glorious bookshelf. Oh how perfectly it would fit. On that note, our moving truck came and I ran downstairs.
"Could you take out my bookshelf first please sir?".
He smiled, "I'm Pete, and sure sweetie it's the last thing we put in, your mom asked us to be extra careful with it".
I smiled, my mom would totally say that. As cliched as it is, my mom is the best mom in the world.
As Pete brought the bookshelf into the house, I noticed as a white Mercedes Benz rolled into my neighbor's driveway.
Are these my new neighbors? Boy I hope they're nice.
Out walks a beautiful blonde woman who smiles when she sees me.
"You must be my new neighbor!"
She's nice, this can't me too bad can it?
I politely nod and extend my hand out, "I'm McKenna, McKenna Lee Johnson".
Her smile widens. As she takes my hand and proceeds to firmly shake it. Her handshake was quite powerful. Business woman maybe?
"Well hello McKenna, I'm Abigail, Abigail McKinley".
As if on cue my mom walks out and smiles.
"Hi!", she says excitedly
"Hello, I'm Abigail, your next door neighbor nice to meet you".
"I'm Vanessa, McKenna's mom".
I slowly slip away from the scene and run up to my room where my bookshelf lay in its glory.

It's been like an hour, of me trying to figure out how to organize my room when my mom called me downstairs for dinner. At that moment I realized just how hungry I was.
"Coming", I yell down at her.
When I go down I see my favorite, shrimp lo mein in all its greasy goodness.
I sit down with my mom and take my first bite and let out a moan at the taste.
"I see you like it", my mom says with a chuckle.
I smile, "this is so good mom", I saw with my mouth full of food.
We were rudely interrupted from dinner when there was a knock on the door.
Who could it be?
"I got it". No matter what, I am not going to pass up on any opportunity to meet someone new.
I open the door and see a tall, lean, handsome boy standing at my doorsteps with some flowers.
"Hey, welcome to the neighborhood, I'm Caleb, Caleb McKinley".
