it's odd
at first
we were simply polite
then
we're friends
now
sometimes we're
kids
and talk
of petty things
sometimes we're
adults
and talk
of stress
sadness
and other things
not meant for kids
sometimes we're
encouraging
and
take turns
telling the other
why we need to live
but most of all
we'll always
be
friends
