dear moon,
i think people
often forget what
a genuine person
with a good heart
goes through —
they give excuses
for you when you
can't come up with any
(although let's be
honest they probably
know the truth)
they accept those
'apologies' you
never seem to give
(because they just
tell themselves it's
' no big deal ')
they can see the
best in you even
though you may
not want them to
(not like you would
appreciate it enough)
they do their best
to lift you up when
you're down even
if that means putting
aside everything else
(including themselves)
they are never 'busy'
for you because in
their mind 'busy'
doesn't exist
(you're their
main priority
and they'll
always make
time even when
you won't)
and you sit there
with your pretty face
not giving a damn
because they're not
worthy enough for
your life
(yet they don't
ever ask for anything
in return or make
you work hard for
their attention)
though perhaps
by now you've grown
used to having them
around but let me
tell you something —
you are not entitled
to anything they give you
because you should fear
the day they give up on you
you see — dark colored
skies don't just appear
out of thin air and
hearts don't turn cold
unless they've been
submerged in ice
(@ all people who don't appreciate what others do for you. But on a brighter note self promo to my new book " to be honest " I'll be attempting the '30 day letter challenge' although I highly doubt it will be successful I will try it out. Also I would like to thank everyone for all the lovely comments and reading my work. I truly appreciate it thank you.)
