16th Birthday

Eldarion's P. O. V.

It's been six years since mom died. I haven't really put myself out there much since then. I haven't really tried to open myself up to love. A lot of girls want a relationship with me but I haven't given them the time of day. There is this one girl though that I have had a crush on since I was little. She's a very special girl to me. Right now she thinks we are just best friends. I want to be more than that with her but I don't really know about her yet. Her name is Chloe. Today is my 16th birthday and I'm having a celebration for it. It was actually her idea. I agreed to it only if she agreed to be there. She said that she would definitely end up being there. I'm thinking that today is going to be the day that I finally tell Chloe how I feel about her. My two best friends, Legolas and Haldir, Legolas' children, (who are also my age,) keep telling me its time to come clean to her about it. I definitely agree with them now. My birthday celebration is in a just a few minutes. I'm kind if nervous to tell the girl of my dreams how I feel about her.

Chloe's P.O.V.

I was in me and my sisters bedroom. I was getting ready for Eldarion's 16th birthday celebration. I have had a massive crush on him since the first day we met. We were pretty little though so I didn't really understand what my feelings were back then. I do now though. I was putting on my red dress for special occasions only. I'm a little nervous to be going to his birthday today. I want to be together with him so badly, but I haven't said anything. Mainly because the guy usually makes the first move. However, Eldarion hasn't made any move like that on me. Which tells me that he just wants to be friends with me. Maybe he isn't the right one. Destiny (my sister) walked into our bedroom. She just looked at me as I finished brushing through my hair.
"What?" I ask her.
"Nothing you just look, beautiful today," Destiny says to me.
"Thanks," I say to her with a slight smile.
"You know who else will think you look beautiful," Destiny says to me.
"If you're talking about Eldarion, my best friend, then yeah I think I'll agree with you," I say to her.
"Chloe, I keep telling you all you have to do is tell him how you feel about him," Destiny says.
"Destiny, I keep telling you that it isn't my move to make," I say to her.
"It doesn't always have to be that way," Destiny says.
"Yeah...it does," I say.
"But you can be the first woman to change that. Who came up with that rule anyway?" Destiny asks.
"I have no idea," I say.

It was quiet for a minute.

"Fine, I'll tell Eldarion how I feel..."
"Good," Destiny says.
"As long as you tell Haldir how you feel," I say to my sister.

Destiny got quiet.
"Fine, point made, let's go," Destiny says.

I smiled a little as we walked out of our bedroom. I get Destiny's point but I just don't think I could. Especially if I ended up getting rejected.

Eldarion's P.O.V.

I was standing by the table with drinks and food on it. Legolas and Haldir were standing with me. I was looking around the room for Chloe.
"So, are you going to finally make your move on Chloe today?" Haldir asks me.

Legolas looked away from me and looked down at the floor. Honestly right now I don't really know what to say to him.

"I'm going to try," I say still looking for her.

Chloe and Destiny walked into the room. I smiled as I saw Chloe walking towards me. She looks so beautiful. I'm a little nervous to tell her.
"Hey, guys," Chloe says to us standing in front of us.
"Hey, so, Eldarion has something he wants to tell you," Haldir says to Chloe.

I just looked at him.

"Really?" Chloe asks with a smile.

"Yep, so we're going to leave you two alone,-"
