During English class, I took a seat next to her. She appeared to be doodling something.

"What are you drawing?" I asked with curiosity.

She looked up, clearly startled. "The mountains. They are always so peaceful."

"Do you enjoy drawing?"

"Somewhat. I personally prefer to be there in person. If I could, I would go to the Grand Canyon or New Zealand."

I started to chuckle lightly, and she showed her confusion. "Have I said something wrong? I'm sorry I did not me-."

"- No, no, she'll be right*. I was just laughing because that’s where I’m from, New Zealand."

The girl showed a pique of interest. "I was wondering where the accent came from." She started to smile, and closed her book, "You're Oliver then."

"And you must be Arista."

She nodded in agreement and shook hands with me. To this day, we have remained mates.

*note: she'll be right means "it will be alright" or "dont worry".
