Homecoming is coming in a week. Today is normal as usual, except for the fact that I haven’t written for a while.
A few days after the last entry, I was struggling with my algebra class. We were learning how to input equations into a graph. I always use the X Y input, however, it looked like a lot of work. During lunch, I was trying to figure it out when Arista came over. It turns out that she has the same teacher but at a different time. So she was able to help me.
I still remember what she told me:
“I’ve always had this fascination with patterns. I notice a pattern when it comes to graphing, because the directions can’t change without an explanation”
After school, she helped me prepare for the exam. I will never forget her expression when I told her that I had an A on it.
Back to the present.
I have seen homecoming in American Television shows, but I’ve never gotten to experience it. The first thing I noticed when I entered the classroom was a teddy bear with a note. I picked the note up, reading the contents:
“’Will you go on an enchanted adventure with me, Prince Oliver?’”
I noticed Arista’s wide smile. I was about to ask her if she wrote it when she spoke, “I always wanted to go to the dance. Will you come?”
I smiled in return. “It would be my honor, Princess Arista.”
