Quick A/N: Thanks to all of you for reading!!!

Emma's POV

Carl and I keep walking after Mag and Glenn left. Sometimes we say hello and do small introduction to passing people but we don't stay long. Carl says he has something special to show me. whatever the heck that means.Soon we turn a corner and I hear loud wave of sound coming from a cell block.

I look at Carl giving him a weird look but he seems completely unfazed. "These are people we saved from and evil dictator of a sort a few months ago. they stay here and we stay in out block. We're separated to pretty much keep from akwardness.. I don't really know though."

I nod in understanding. I get this, I mean they don't know each other. It's probably better with two separate groups. I mean how would you feel if a random group of people moved into your house?

With a semi-comfortable silence we turn around 2 more corners and the noise is obviously distinctive of voices. A lot of voices. Carl turns to me and puts a hand on my shoulder.

"There's a lot of people. You may be overwhelmed. 'Kay?"

I shrug his hand off gently and roll my eyes. "Yah, yah. Let's get it over with. I just want to sleep."

He chuckles and shakes his head. "Of course you do Emma. Of course you do."

We get to the gate and of course Carl opens it while saying, "After you m'lady." In a sarcastic tone of course. that little...

As I turned back to Carl about to say something about how stupid he is, I was interrupted by a nasally voice I remember all too well.

"What on Earth is that brat doing here? I thought she would be dead by now! Ha! Does she think she can patch up her family? News flash! They don't care."

"Oh, how great it is to see you too", I say with the words drenched in sarcasm.

"Yah, for you. For me this is annoying, I should've just killed you instead."

"Oh what a great way to treat your Chid. Mother." I spit out the words that I thought I would never say around her again. These two words. The words which I dread the most more than anything.

"Don't say you're my child! You've been nothing but a bother since you were born! I never got anything after you were born," she screeched stomping her foot on the ground angrily.

"Oh really? Because you seem to have shelter and it's after I'm born. You seem to have food. I can tell because mother, no Cindy, you've really let yourself gain. What a shame. You looked mediocre before. Now..." I trail off looking at her up and down for effect.

Flabbergasted and at a loss for words she sat the gaping with her mouth open.

"Be careful sweet heart, you'll catch bugs," with a dramatic swoosh of my hair and hips I'm heading out the door with Carl following suit.

"Well who are sir? Has that slut used you yet? Are you here toy? How are you to bring her here? I surely haven't seen you here. I was one of the first people of the first bus! Just who are you?" She cried out obviously hoping that he wouldn't have the nerve to reply so she could redeem herself.

"Who am I? Are you seriously asking that question?" Carl scoffed and turned his head over his shoulder with a glare. "I'm the son of the man who owns this place. Who let's you stay here. Sure, you the first here out of this group but did you go through each hallway to check for walkers?

"Yes I haven't seen you but what have you been doing? I've been on guard, going on raid trips, checking for walkers, working the gardens. What have you been doing?"

Highly embarrassed Cindy looks down, "I-I was wrong. Please don't tell your father about this incident."

Just I was going to open my mouth the cell-block's door creaked open. "Just what incident are we talking about?" Rick asked putting his thumbs on his belt and bending his right knee.

Cindy smiles a gut wrenchingly sweet fake smile. "Oh, it's nothing Mr.Grimes just talking to an old friend. Right?"

She looks at me with a cold look in her eyes. If I don't agree I'll regret it. If I agree I'll regret it even more.

I take a deep breath and put on my sweetest smile. "You see Mr. Rick, this lady was a friend of my parents who passed away tragically before the walkers came. We were just going over on what each other missed."

Cindy looks pleased with this answer but Carl looks insanely frustrated. "Dad, in all reali-"

"Hey Carl, you said you were going to show me outside. Didn't you? We should get going then," I say elbowing his side.

He rolls his eyes but nods. "Yah, we've gotta go before it's dark."

I spin on my heel and follow him out the door. I was going to continue walking but a hand grabbed my wrist and yanked me back.

"What the heck was that? Why would you lie like that? Don't you want revenge?" He sounded like he was begging, pleading for an answer but I just giggled.

"I know you don't understand. I don't think you will....ever. You just have to trust me. It wouldn't have gotten me anywhere. Trust me. Can you do that?"

He sighs and turns away, "Yah. Fine. But, if she does anything like that again. I'm making my dad kick her out."

I smile at him and nod. "I understand but I don't think she'll pull anything by you. Sheriff's son," I tease lightly.

He chuckles and shakes his head making his brown hair swish from side to side. "Then I guess you're stuck having me follow you so it won't happen."

"Ehh? Really?" I ask with mock disappointment.

He pushes my shoulder lightly and smile a surprisingly bright white smile. "You're gonna have to suck it up. Buttercup."

"Oh, I don't think I'm capable. You see, I can only deal with so much annoying things at a time..."

"Hey!" he shrieks in shock at my comment.

I smile and punch his arm softly. "I'm kidding. I'm kidding."

He smiles back and flicks his hair. "You better be," he smirks and starts to walk away.

"Hey! Don't leave me!" I run after him to catch up but now he's running too.

How am I ever going to keep up with this kid?
