"Sky! Where are you love?" Stephen called out.
"Where is the fire?"she mumbled as she rushed down the steps.
"Sky look!" he excitedly waved the letter in front of her face.
"It's my acceptance letter! I'm going to Woodsbrow!" he trilled.
"I'm so happy for you!" Sky hugged him.
Stephen picked her up into his arms and spun her around, both of them laughing away.
When the excitement ebbed down a little, she read the letter through.
"It's for twelve months..."Stephen said, shuffling his feet.
"So?"Sky looked at him, puzzled.
"So I won't be around for almost a year Sky..."
Then it dawned on her.
She had known this was coming.
But she hadn't known he would have to go away so soon....it had only been a month since they'd moved in together.
Her face fell as she felt the tears well up.
"You know what...I'm not going.."Stephen said after a while.
"What? No...you are definitely going!"Sky said, holding back her tears.
"No...I can't leave you alone..."Stephen urged.
"Yes you can and you will."Sky said, sternly.
"Are you sure...?"he asked her, peeking through his long lashes.
She loved him, and she knew she was going to have a hard time not having him around....she had gotten so used to his presence...but there was no way she was going to stand between him and his dreams.
"Yes. I'm sure."Sky said.
