Okay, I am seriously not worthy to judge you guys. You're all so good! Like, how???
Needless to say It was extreamly difficult to choose a winner (I had fifteen poems in the running, like, how crazy is that?) and there were so many entries! I was shocked and super happy! You guys are the best. I wish I could give you each an award for doing so well. If you didn't win or get a shoutout PLEASE don't think it's because your poems were horrid! There wasn't one poem I received that was bad. For real. I just want you guys to have fun with these contests and hopefully you did!
Note to the winners: You guys made my job so difficult! *Struggles to find the right words but gives up* Your poems are just... amazing. Honestly, each poem is equal in skill and beauty. I had to base your winner placement on how much your poems gave me the feels. If you had entered contests separately you each would have gotten first place for sure.
Okay, enough chitchat. Lets get to the poems that won my heart:

| Nor'easter |
She felt something
Once.
A feeling near
Fire
Tearing through a soft spot in her
Heart.
She felt something
Prodding at her heart,
Raw
And
Weightless
And
Human
In the wake of someone's smile
And it scared her.
So she drew it from her
Ribcage
And among the
Roots
Of a live oak tree,
She secreted it
Away.
She buried the lock,
The rebellious
Heart,
And swallowed down the
Key,
Where it languished
And rusted in the
Bottom of her
Stomach
And lay so very
Cold.
So very cold,
It spread winter
Through her
Bones
And stirred up a billowing
Nor'easter
Of absence
In between her
Lungs,
Descending and tearing
At her
Insides
Like hail
