Chapter Nine 🖤

We got out of the taxi in front of Raven's house, where there were a bunch of cars on each side of the road. We walked towards the door of her house , walked right in as a lot of other familiar people did the same. Since we were a bit late the party had already started.  There was loud music playing, neon lights shinning all across the ceiling, as well with it shinning on some people dancing. Knowing me I'll go straight to where the food is, but before I could take another step in the door, we were greeted by Raven. She waved at us , while gesturing her hands, noting we should come in and have some fun. Right away I turned to Emily who was in awe, probably of how someone like Raven could pull off such a sick party. I looked into her eyes while I watched them follow the little lights on the badly lit, large living room ceiling. 

When she caught me starring again, I smiled. I didn't even bother to be embarrassed at this point, because I knew she couldn't see my blushed face.

I leaned forward and gave her a little hug, then told her "have fun I'll be near food?" 

I let go and gave her a wink before turned around to go find somewhere with tasty things to devour.

Walking through the big crowd of people I got bumped into, but didn't think much of it because it was bound to happen. But when I heard a deep voice apologizing, it caught my attention I turned around to see Chase Mal a few feet back.

I was Shocked in why he would come to this place, I simply said it was alright and kept walking without giving it much thought.

I pushed through a bit more people, before I seen Raven.

""Hey, where's somewhere, where I could get some food?" I giggled while making sure to speak loud enough.

I heard her muffled laugh,  while she point to the direction behind her.

"Thanks," I laughed and before I could go around her, she stopped me with her hand on my  shoulder.

"Eh, and if you can find Emily again, you and her can come upstairs into my room, with a few other people, to have some of "The good stuff" if you want of course." Raven came a bit closer to my ear, so not everyone in that area would hear.

Of course I knew what she was talking about. The good stuff. The green stuff. The shit that messes with your brain but is great? Ya that stuff weed.

Raven then continued," Try to be up there in about 30 mins, ok?" She asked.

"Ya I'll try finding her," I announced while turning the opposite way, away from the delicious food to go and find my crush, well best friend.

I started walking through everyone, while I got bumped a few times, but the final bump brought me to the cold hardwood floor.

While on the ground, I heard the person above me apologizing repeatedly .

"Eh, what was that for!" I got offensive, while turning around to sit on my butt, when there was a hand open for me to grab. Attached to that hand was non other than Chase, once again. I grabbed his firm, rough hand as he brought me back to my feet, making sure I was alright and not hurt.

" you sure like bumping into me?" I questioned while giving laugh, and brushing off the specks of dirt from my butt and knees.

Chase kind of laughed while looking down at me. Remind you that he is way taller than me, and obviously stronger.

"Sorry about that by the way," Chase rubbed the back of his neck with his hand.

It was kind of cute.

"My name'sChase, by the way," He still was looking at me, and didn't break eye contact.

I looked up at him as if I were a two year old looking up at a large adult. I mean I was short for my age but this feels ridiculous.

I paused before I responded, trying to think of why the hell a guy like him would be talking to a girl like me.

One thing came to my mind to answer my own frustrated question. He's a fuck boy.

"Im Jess," I didn't feel like saying my full name because I didn't want him to call me Jessica. But I also didn't want to look like I was falling for his tricks, yet I was still falling over his foot.

"Nice to meet you Jess," Chase giggled with a heart warming smile.

While he smiled, his lips were still sealed shut, but his grin was large spread across his face, his eyes also seemed like he was squinting, but further more everything seemed to be just right about this guys appearance, but I know who he really is.

I looked up at his dark figure, buff is one word, overall well looking, but I didn't want to get caught up in thoughts right now, I had to go and look for Emily.

" nice meeting you too Chase," I smiled, then continued "well I'll see you later, I need to look for my friend," at this point I didn't care if I was rude, but I turned around to look for Emily once again.

I walked through the crowd to my left, and good thing too. I found Emily sitting on the arm of the blue couch  with three of our other friends:  Brooke, Maddie, and Anthony.

Brooke was the one who would also be watching a horror movie, or trying to contact the dead, but all around was my friend since we were 4  years old.

Maddie (Madison), is my other best friend, since I was 5 years old. She's usually where ever she could have a bit of fun with a friend or two.( probably why she is here) Maddie is also with a slim figure.

Anthony, hasn't been our friend for long but he is a nerd just like the rest of us pretty much, he likes video games and usually watches anime in the time he is free.

I walked over to our friends and before Emily could see me, Anthony shouts "Hey it's Jess!"

As soon as he called out the other three including Emily look at me. They all said hey or hi, and Emily had the biggest smile of them all. I'm glad she did.

I greeted them as well, then walked to where Emily was sitting, "Hey want to come upstairs with Raven, a few others and myself, for.." I paused and cleared my throat, " uh er weed" I said quieter than the rest of the sentence.

"Sure" Emily replied while a big smile came upon her beautiful face.

I sat down for a little and caught up with my friends, talking about the "nerd-ish" thing I guess you could say.

In the mix of this we laughed and I continued to see Chase around this area.

Strange enough as it was for him to talk to me. Shouldn't he be dancing with some girl or five? Like really though he is hot and all but I don't need a fuck boy on my life thank you

Sorry this one was a bit long, so I'm going to end this chapter right here. Well hopefully this didn't suck entirely. But I'd love to hear your opinion about my writing, always looking for feed back😄
