A painted smile,

And a painted laugh,

A painted face holding me back,

A mouthful of lies saying I'm fine,

A pair of contacts keeping my eyes dry,

How scary is this power,

This power of makeup,

Hiding a face that is really messed up,

Messed up,

Messed up,

Messed up is this girl under the makeup,

Mascara dripping down her face,

With a broken smile,

And shattered lies,

But no one will ever know,

Because they are blind,

Blinded by the power of makeup,

By the painted smile,

And the painted laugh,

By the contacts and that mouthful of lies,

How scary is this power,

This power of makeup.
