Your child has a bad day - Jack

y/c/n - Your child's name (Also I will be referring to the child as a girl due to the story but change it if you wish)

"Hey Jack, can you go pick y/c/n up from school?" You asked Jack so that you could film a video.
"Sure!" He replied as he walked into the room kissing your head.
"Okay thanks, I am gonna film a video! See you in a while babe!" 
"See ya!" 

*Back home*

You heard light sobs coming from y/c/n's room. Not knowing why you decided Jack should go and talk to her.
"Babe, y/c/n is crying in her room. Can you go and see if she is okay?" You asked.
"Okay sure but why can't you?" 
"She is more likely to tell you and I need to make dinner" 

Jack knocked on y/c/n's door. She muttered 'come in', it was barely audible but Jack heard.
"Hey princess, are you okay?" He asked as he walked into the room towards her bed. 
"Not really dad, I had a really bad day at school." She replied trying to hold back her tears.
"Come here and tell me what's up." Jack said as he patted his lap signalling for her to go and give him a cuddle.
"You know Theo?" She asked as she snuggled up to Jack. He knew where this story was going but listened anyway.
"Yeah, your best friend Theo." 
"He broke up with me." She sobbed. "He said we can't be friends anymore because of who my dad is. He told me that I wasn't allowed to talk to him. I really liked Theo daddy, he was my best friend!" 

Jack sat hugging her for a while rocking her back and forward while she cried into his t-shirt. He rubbed his thumb up and down her back in an effort to comfort her. She eventually stopped crying and sat there in Jack's arms. Little did they both know that you were stood at the door watching them. 

At dinner y/c/n explained to you what had happened and you and Jack had both promised to sit and watch her favorite film with her after dinner. You smiled at your little happy family knowing that you should be happy that y/c/n's only struggles were her best friend "breaking up" with her.
