I AM BACK! I AM SO SORRY!!!!!!! We hit 9k reads and your support had driven me to write so much!!!!!! I've also been hit with a load of work from school, a science project, tons of math, my midterms for science, but I had a snow day today so I decided to write for you guys. .*~ Special announcement at the end~*.

It's gotten colder recently, and I glance out of my window to see the roads iced lightly and winds twirling brown leaves through the air. Small dots of white soft snow fall from the sky and land on whatever they can. Trees sway along in the winds as if they are performing a magical dance for me as I watch. My phone vibrates and I look down to see a text from Hoseok telling me he's home and he had fun tutoring me. I smile but decide to wait to respond and watching this weather calms my nerves of everything right now.

My phone vibrates again, making me flinch in frustration slightly at the persistence of Hoseok, but when I look it isn't him. A notification saying school is cancelled tomorrow. What? It's barely snowing although I haven't gone outside today so I don't know how bad roads are but whatever, I won't complain. Anyways my parents are coming over so that'll make it easier.

I switch off my alarm and watch as street lights flicker in the distance. It's not that late but I've worked hard today and want to treat myself to an early night since I know tomorrow I'll be bending over backwards for my parents every wish and desire.

I crawl into my warm bed, pulling blankets over my chilled figure. The idea of sleeping early hasn't come to me in a long time, and as soon as my head hits the pillow my eyelids become 2 times heavier and I swing my arm over to the bedside table to put my phone down.

"Sweet dreams." I whisper to myself as I feel the loss of consciousness.

----

I wake to the sound of my doorbell and a crack of light peering past my curtains, blinding me slightly on first glance. I check the time, it's only 7:30, a relatively absurd time to be waking up on an off day, which means one thing. It's my parents.

I spring out of bed and pull on clothes I set out the night before, a white loose shirt and jeans. An easy look to wear, and comfortable. As I run a brush through my hair I walk out and take a quick look through the peephole in my door. It is indeed my parents, my mother standing there tired and frustrated and my father leaning against the wall behind mom, mindlessly scrolling through his phone. I run to put my brush away and open the door.

"Mother!" I say as I greet her with a hug and kiss on the cheek. She smiles at me, a sullen smile that brings back memories of when I was younger and she'd stay up working. The kind of smile she'd give me when I asked how her day was. "And father! So glad you two could make it, I hear the roads are pretty iced up." I remark, giving my father a hug too, who doesn't seem to care enough to take his attention off his phone.

"Yes I'd say they're in relatively bad condition, I'm guessing you don't have school today." My mother says, addressing my attire. I nod to her and help her take off her large black winter coat, then repeating the process with my still uninterested dad.

"Would you like me to take you both to your room?" I ask, pushing the door closed as they kick off their shoes.

"Yes, we would." Father tells me, glancing up at me from his phone, but only for a second.

"Right this way!" I exclaim, trying to institute a false sense of energy even though I am fully aware they can both sense my drowsiness that practically radiates off of me. I take them to the now spotless guest room, swinging the door open to them and letting them walk in, lugging 2 large bags behind them.
