the next morning was buzzing with life.Jungkook and y/n woke up from the sounds of the townspeople yelling and talking loudly amongst themselves from outside their room.The duo only managed to pick up a few of the words.

Putting the puzzle together jungkook hurried to get dressed and followed the crowd,y/n trailing behind him, cloaking herself from the people and palace guards looking for her.Jungkook swiftly managed to go towards the front of the crowd, where a couple palace guards With hyejin clinging to a soldier in a loving matter and her father, king Midas.

of course!Jungkook didn't realize this was the neighboring kingdom that belonged to Midas.

Jungkook tried to blend into the crowd, but I'm pretty sure his royal attire stood out in front of the tattered townspeople clothes, plus it didn't help the people were saying his name.

¨Prince jungkook!¨Midas cried out at jungkook, who only smiled sheepishly as he slowly walked towards king Midas."Oh um, king Midas.What a surprise."

"Surely is.What are you doing in my kingdom?"Midas questioned.Jungkook tried to quickly think of an excuse.Not like he could say 'oh well I'm kinda traveling with a thief who is wanted by the queen to find a ring my mom gave me and we happened to sleep here in an Inn "Passing by"Jungkook instead said, Thankfully the king believed him.

"Well, I am sorry you couldn't marry my daughter".Midas said in a  sympathetic tone.Don't be.

"Yes, it's a pity, but why?"Jungkook asked.
"Well, before I engaged her to you, she was in love with one of my loyal knights, but sadly he disappeared.We thought he died and she was miserable.Her whole attitude changed."Oh, so that explains her snobby attitude.''But just yesterday, He found his way back to my castle and she begged me to let her marry the knight.Well, who am I to interfere with her true love?"

jungkook nodded his¨I suppose you're right.¨was all he said.

¨Well then, jungkook why don't you come with me? I'm heading over to your father's palace to discuss our new agreement.¨Midas said.

jungkook bowed his head and smiled.¨I would love to but I'm actually heading somewhere.¨

¨What a shame.Farewell then jungkook¨

A guard yelled out and jungkook quickly turned his head back.There she was with two guards surrounding her.One on her left and one on her right, But she did not look in the least worried.Without another second to lose jungkook quickly left the king who was currently too busy watching the scene fold in front of him.A guard tried to reach for y/n, but she quickly jerked back, making the guard stumble and giving her the chance to kick his back and make him fall flat on the ground, hitting his head on a wagon wheel causing him to pass out.

Jungkook stopped running and his mouth was agape.Who knew she was skilled?

The second guard unsheathed his sword from his belt and held onto the handle tightly, pointing  it towards her.Y/n pulled out her dagger, which in comparison was smaller than the guard's sword.A lot smaller.The guard laughed loudly at the girl.Y/n smirked and flung the dagger towards the guard, but missed and hit the lock of a manure wagon causing the board to fall and making the manure fall to the ground.The guard smirked at her ¨Your aim seems to be as shitty as the manure¨.Y/n chuckled and kicked the sword out of the guards reach, His eyes were wide.He didn't expect any sort of counter attack towards him.Y/n quickly ran towards the guard before he can react and kicked him hard on the center of his chest.With the heavy armor and the massive blow to his chest, the guard stumbled down, gasping for air, causing him to stumbled down into the heap of manure.¨seems like you're just as shitty as the manure.¨Y/n back talked as she removed her dagger from the wagon and scanned the observing crowd for a certain prince.sounds of the crowd murmuring and claps was heard, along with the clinking of armor from more guards.Jungkook and y/n made eye contact and as if the could speak through their eyes The two started to run away from the crowd, jungkook making sure he isn't too close to her to raise suspicions.

Once out of the town, and the sounds of the guards has decreased, the two stopped running.y/n was almost breathless, her chest rising rapidly with each breath she took.Jungkook looked at her.¨What happened back there?¨He asked.

Once she caught her breath y/n looked at jungkook¨well, one of the guards recognized me from the palace back when I lived in the palace, one thing led to another and now he's passed out on the floor and I'm still here so all is good¨She said cracking her back.

¨Ẅhere'd you learn to fight like that?¨jungkook asked.¨red taught me.she's been helping me little by little ever since I've left¨y/n answered.¨now no more questions.If we hurry we'll be able to get your ring by today.¨Y/n said starting to walk with jungkook behind.

¨great¨He muttered.

why was he upset?Could it be because he didn't want to leave y/n after today?
