Reader's POV

It's been a week since Asuna woke up from that death game, Sword Art Online. I heard that Sugou was actually the reason why some players haven't woke up yet, including Asuna.

I also know that Asuna has already a boyfriend. When I heard that, It broke my heart completely.

Me and Asuna promised each other when we were still kids that we'd find each other again and fall in love all over again. She told me she'd remember me. She promised.

But when we saw each other again, she completely forgot me. She didn't have an amnesia either. We saw each other again because of our family connections.

When she saw me again, she politely introduced herself to me. I was so happy that I hugged her. Our parents giggled but she didn't.

She was confused and simply pulled away. "I'm sorry? Have we met before?" She asked. At that simple question, my heart sank so low that it reached the core of the earth and burned my heart. It's cheesy I know.

But that's just how it is. It hurts so badly. But I can't tell her that she was gay before and promised each other to fall inlove again can I? She'd think I'm weird.

"W-We're childhood bestfriends.. Hehe.." I said awkwardly, trying not to let my tears pour down.

And right now, she's with her boyfriend at the hospital.

"Hey Asuna." I called. "(Y/n)-chan! Come here! I'll introduce you to Kiri- I mean, Kazuto-kun!" She said.

Why is she so insensitive and oblivious? "Sure." I simply said even if I'm hurting inside. Falling for a straight person in a nutshell I guess. Well, she was gay. But that's in the past. Maybe she wasn't gay at all.

Maybe she pitied me in the past that's why she told me she loves me back. No matter how long you guys separated, if you love that person you'd never forget her. Heck, I could even remember a stranger's name when I was 5. And she on the other hand... Well.. maybe she never loved me.

My heart broke into pieces when I thought about it. "(Y/n)-chan, this is Kazuto-kun. My boyfriend. Kazuto-kun, this is (Y/n)-chan. She's like a sister to me." She said while smiling.

Sister... Of course.. *Chuckles* That's what I am.

"Hello Kazuto. Like she said, I'm like her sister. If you break her heart I'll break your balls. You hear me?" I said while smiling, yet in a deadly voice.

"You got it." He replied. I hurriedly went towards the exit. "(Y/n)-chan! Where are you going?" Asuna asked.

"I'll give you guys some alone time. To...you know." I said then winked. It hurts. It hurts so much.. please make the pain stop.

She blushed and I fake a smirk then went out. I immediately went at the rooftop then cried. I'm tired of this. I hate this. I can't fake it anymore.

I left the hospital then went home.

Timeskip

It's been three months since me and Asuna had a decent conversation. Whenever I see her, I'd avoid her. As if she's never there. She'd call my name then I fast walk away from her.
