Nina and Kaneki were sitting in class, they were waiting for their test scores. The two waited anxiously for their tests to get passed back. Kaneki noticed Nina looking pale, she looked at Kaneki with a 'Im totally going to pass this test look' . The teacher finally passed back their test. Nina and Kaneki looked at their results and switched them.
"You owe me 5 bucks Nina" Kaneki says smirking. Nina rolls her eyes, and looks down at her test, Kaneki noticed that her hands were shaking badly. She started coughing, covering her mouth with her hand, and when she removed her hand, there was blood on it. She tried to hide her hand, but Kaneki noticed it already. "Hey Nina are you okay?"
"U-Um yeah I think so," she says trying to stand up to walk to the bathroom, but instead she falls over and hits the floor. "Nina! ... Someone call an ambulance!" Kaneki said, dropping on the floor beside her, he grabbed her blood stained hand and held it tightly. "Nina...please wake up...if you wake up I'll let you get a higher score on the test every time." When she didn't wake up, a tear that he was trying to hold back, falls down his cheek. The paramedics come after 15 minutes and when they grab Nina to take her, Kaneki was still holding her hand, but he had to let go when they carried her away on the stretcher and into the ambulance.
