As Kaneki looked at Nina's small figure in the bed he could see her long brown locks of hair falling over her shoulder as she sat up, her grey eyes looking into his blue ones intently. He needed to tell her now, this was the best moment to, "Well Nina, you see I-" Kaneki started but his words were soon caught off by Levi.
"Kaneki brought you to me for treatment, he thought it was in your best interest. Of course my idiot cousin wanted to protect you or something, he thought the doctors were asking for too much from you and they were being incompetent." Levi said as he crossed his arms firmly over his chest.
Nina's gaze was directed to Kaneki once again, she stood up and walked over to him pushing his chest as hard as she could "Kaneki don't be stupid! The doctors.... they are just fine. I can't believe you did this. I can't believe you went this far." her voice was hoarse as she spoke, she could feel her legs going numb, the feeling stretching throughout her whole body slowly. Soon enough her legs refuses to support her as they bent, sensing her body to the ground. Kaneki caught her in his arms before she could hit the hard floor. "Your so dumb Kaneki" she said to him before passing out.
Levi and Kaneki place her in the wheelchair. "We'll start treatment tomorrow." Levi said. "You can go home for now." he looked over at his cousin and Kaneki looked at back at him, the fire in his eyes he had seen when Kaneki first went to ask him for help was there once agin. "Kaneki go." he said firmly this time but the boys body refused to move. "I'm not going anywhere." Of course he had to be stubborn of all times. "Fine. You can visit her room but you have to sleep in a different room." Levi walked out to the door and poked his head out then coming back in. "Rin! Show him to his room." A boy with black hair and blue eyes came in a few moments later, he had a sword on his side. "Follow me.." he said, Kaneki stood his ground for a few seconds but then sighed as he took one last glance at Nina before leaving the room, he followed the man named Rin. "Why, do you look so tense?" Rin asked. "Well... I don't wanna die" Kaneki said pointing to Rins sword, I mean seriously? A sword? A chuckle came out of Rin's mouth, he rested his hand on the sword as they walked. "Safety precaution". Kaneki let out a sigh of relief now knowing the sword wasn't to disembowel him. Once they arrived to the room Rin opened the door for him, "Here you are, I hope the room is comfortable enough for you." Rin said as he let Kaneki in. It was a moderate sized roomed with all the essentials a person needed to sleep for the night. "Thanks." "Don't get funny ideas, stay in the room and you can visit Nina in the morning." he closes the door behind him and you could hear and audible lock of the door.
That night Kaneki couldn't sleep, all he could think about was Nina. Levi would make sure she was okay..... right?
