Hi! So here is a little information about me. My name is Liliana Novello. I live in Vale, North Carolina with my mom and dad. Well more like my mom. My dad is usually over seas, he's a National Guard. A high ranked one at that and I barely get to see him anymore. My mom has blonde hair that reaches her shoulder blades and blue eyes. Dad has dirty blonde hair and brown eyes.

I have shoulder length blonde hair and brown eyes. I know you don't usually see blonde and brown, but I'm just special. Not joke I have a special gift. I can see and talk to the dead, I even have a bestfriend that's dead. His name is Eli Valenza, he's from Australia. He has brown hair and brown eyes and wears an outback hat as well.

"G'day mate." he says.

"Eli! I'm talking to the readers!"

  "'Bout what?"

"Well I'm giving them a little background information genius." I say.

  "How's I suppose to know?"

"Oh I don't know. Maybe because I'm talking to the camera." I say.

"Oh rack off Lil." he says.

"I will not! This is my part of the story. You'll get your chance." I say making Eli walk off with a pout. I shake my head and look at the camera again. Sorry about him. He can be rude sometimes.

My mom is a private investigator and she has been given a case that's in London. So we've packed up what we have and had movers to take it to our new apartment in London. So now momma, Eli and I have to fly to London. Oh I almost forget to mention. My mommaw has this gift too, but it skips a generation each time. So momma can't see or hear the ghosts, but that's why I can. So that should have brought you up to speed so let's get on with it.

I put on a gray sweater with a black heart on it, black skinny jeans, gray converses and a gray beanie. I grabbed my light green book bag and threw it on my shoulder. I turned and looked at Eli, he was slightly transparent. He was wearing a white shirt, red flannel, ripped jeans and brown boots.

"So what time does our flight leave?" asks Eli. I pulled out my phone with a red case and looked at the time. It read 4:18 A.M. I put my phone in my book bag again.

"Our flight leaves at five thirty. So we need to head down stairs and meet up with momma. And before you ask... it's an eight hour flight."

"Awe man. That's a back of bourke What are we gonna do for eight hours?" he asks with a groan. I roll me eyes at him.

"I don't know about you, but I'm going to be reading." I say giggling at his unamused face.

"You're bloody rude. Ya'know it?" I giggle more.

"Liliana! Come on honey we gotta leave!" yells momma.

"Comin'!" I yell back. "Come on Joey let's go."

"I'm not a bloody baby kangaroo Lily." says Eli. I laugh at him and walk out of my room and into the living room where momma has our suitcases sitting. Momma walks into the living room after checking the kitchen one last time. She was wearing a black tank top, a red could shoulder shirt, jeans and tan sandals. She had her hair braided to the right and hanging over her shoulder.

"Do you have everything sweetie?" she asks.

"Yep. Double checked everything this morning." I say.

"What about your box of postcards from your dad?" asks Eli. I look at him.

"I have them in my bag. I would never forget about them. They're very important to me." I say placing my hand on my bag.

  "Just asking geeze." he says.

"Lily, sweetie who are you talking to now?" asks momma.

  "Just Eli. Why?" I ask.

"Sweetie you know Eli isn't real right?" says momma. I sigh and cross my arms. Here we go again with the whole 'Eli isn't real' thing.

"Momma I'm a medium. I can see and talk to the dead. Just like mommaw did." I say.

"Your mommaw was diagnosed with schizophrenia. She was talking about this crazy lady who gave her the ability to see and talk to the dead. Please stop believing everything your mommaw tells you." says momma.

"Mommaw was telling the truth momma. I know it because..."

"I don't want to talk about it anymore Lily. Just... when we get to the new place and you get settled into your dorm room we will talk about this. And... don't tell those kids about this." she says. I sigh. I uncross my arms, walk over to my two suitcases and grab them.

"Yeah. Don't want them to make fun of me just like the kids here do. Right?" I say in almost a whisper. There was a car horn coming from outside.

"There's Rea now. Come on let's go." says Momma. Rea is momma's best friend and she offered to drop us off at the airport. I rolled my suitcases behind me as I walked down the stairs of our apartment. I walked over to the blue Nissan Versa and put my suitcases in the trunk. I walked back around to the back seat and got in. Eli sat beside of me.

"Wow this a nice car." he says. I didn't say anything, I put my elbow on the door and laid my chin on my hand. I saw momma walk around and get into the front seat. Then Rea and momma started talking as Rea started driving. "Are you gonna talk to me Lil?" asks Eli.

"If I do then Rea and momma would tell me that you're not real." I say looking at him. His eyes shrouded with concern.

"You know I'm real Lily. That's all that matters. Right?" he asks.

"Yeah." I sigh and look back out the window at the still back sky. I feel a tap on my shoulder. I look at Eli and he's making crazy faces at me. I couldn't help, but to laugh at him. He knows how make me smile.

"There's that smile of yours." he says.

  "Thanks Eli." I say.
