Chapter 4

I'm absolutely stunned. My eyes are wide, and my heart stopped for a second. It's like that one second was in slow motion and I'm stuck in time. My legs feel like they are cemented into the ground. I've never imagined I would walk into something like this.

Then the embarrassment hits me. I feel heat rush up to my cheeks, making me flustered. Luckily, they are both covered in blankets. Still, I quickly avert my eyes to look away. Before I can turn around and leave, Daniel speaks.

"What, is my little Stacy here uncomfortable?", the pull of his raspy voice after the dirty deed forces my eyes to meet his grey ones. For a heartbeat, I'm enchanted with his gaze. But then anger hits me like a bricks as I realize he is taunting me.

"I'm not your little Stacy. In fact, I'm not little at all," I snapped.

His eyes train down to where my chest is, his smirk reappearing. "Well, I see otherwise. You should have Blaire right here to advise you, if you don't want to be little anymore."

Instantly, heat creeps up cheeks: I feel exposed. I don't like attention on my chest. The way his eyes linger on my chest makes me uncomfortable. I'm about to pull my cardigan closer to my body to cover my chest, but I decide not to give him the satisfaction of knowing that he has gotten to me. It true that my chest isn't that big, which is what I prefer anyway. But I couldn't help but feel hurt.

I hold back my feelings, before I hear the blonde's—Blaire's—sickening sweet voice calling for Daniel's attention. "Come on, Daniel, let's go for another round. This time, let's be rougher, just how you like it." I am taken aback by her lack of modesty.

Daniel's attention lingers on me, before it is fully on Blaire. He leans towards her mouth to kiss her roughly, pushing her back on the bed. Then they go under the blankets and the bed creaks again with louder gasps and continuous pants.

And my presence does not matter. Just like how it didn't matter to my father. So I hold back my tears and turn from the doorway.

I make my way to the living room and figure out that I might as well find out more about Daniel since I'll be staying here for quite some time. His actions confuse me. One moment he is goofy and playful, and another moment he is hurtful, saying things to make fun of me. So I decide to look around the house so that he does not catch me off guard like that again.

I wander off into the basement downstairs. I spot his red Ferrari right at the center. Surprised that he could even afford such an expensive car, I curiously take a step forward to examine it. I walked around the car, careful not to touch it. As I walked, I hear someone outside the basement fumbling for their keys. I was stuck in my place, slow the react.

Then the door flew open, almost hitting me. And I stared at the man who had just flung open the door.

He looked at me. I looked at him. He seemed to recover from our exchange when his eyes hardened. Then the next moment flew past by when he lunged at me. Before I know it, I crashed onto the ground with him, slamming my head on a concrete step near me.

The sharp sting on my head heightened my sense. Noises were buzzing in my ears as so tried to put my eyes back to focus. With the man on top of me, I struggled and attempted to push him off me.

"You bitch, what are you doing here?" the man yelled. I was taken aback. He called me a bitch? Before I could respond, he flipped me over and twisted my arms behind my back. The action was rough enough to twist my arms off the sockets.

"Arrrrhg," I screamed at the top of my lungs. I tried everything to get his grip off of me. I flailed my arms and kicked my legs, but this man was too heavy. I struggled for a minute, no doubt worsening my head injury, before I heard footsteps stomping down from the stairs.

"What is going on here?!" Daniel roared.
Immediately, we both stopped struggling on the floor and stared at the barely clothed man, who had a clueless and worried expression. If I weren't in this situation right now, I would have found it comical.

"This bitch is in your home! I should be asking you what's going on here!" the man is still on top of me, pinning my arms down.

"Jax, let go of her"

"But—"

Daniel steps forward and lends me a helping hand. I took it but winced when I got up from the ground. Daniel seems to notice and placed his hands on me to get a better view of my injury.

"Shit! You're bleeding. Let's get you to the hospital" Daniel leads me to his car.

When I get into the car, I see Jax's eyebrows pinch together in confusion. "I'll explain everything later," Daniel says to Jax.

They both hop on into the car and we are on our way to the hospital. The sharp pain is really getting to me and the next thing I know, the pain pushes me into blackness.
