Messed Up Friendship

Chapter 5: An Invitation

Karen's POV:

It was a boring school day-again. We were all about to go home until Kylie asked if she could talked to us for a while. Us, meaning me, Sky, Alli, and Bella.

All of us stayed in front of the classroom door. "Hey guys, so um, this Friday is my birthday, and we don't have school because it's a holiday. So I was wondering if you guys could come to the country club nearby our school." Kylie asked.

"I guess I can go!" Sky excitedly said. "Sure, why not." I said. "Great! See you there!" Bella said as she had to leave.

"Oh, this Friday? I'm really sorry, I can't go. My aunt invited us over. Maybe next time!" Alli sadly said.

"Oh that's okay." Kylie replied. All of us went home. I saw my mom in her car so I went in. She asked me how my day was. "School was boring, as usual. But my friends were great! - as usual too." I said in a confused-ish voice.

We got home and before I did anything else I asked my mom if I could go to Kylie's party and she just nodded her head.

I went to my room and turned my phone on. I went to messages and opened our group chat.

Group chat:

You: Hey guys! My mom said I can go to Kylie's party.

Kylie Becken has been added to the group chat by Karen Martinez.

Bella: Yay! Kylie's in the group!

Skylar: I'm going too! Umm.. Bella, can I say something? But promise not to be offended? If you don't want to I won't.

Bella: Sure, I promise I won't get mad or offended.

Skylar: Please don't cry in Kylie's party. I mean, like you did in Alli's party. Not that it's bad or something, it's just that it sometimes waste our time.

Me: Yup, it's a little annoying when you cry. Some of us don't have all day you know.

Bella: ...okay. I promise I won't cry.

group chat ends.

Bella's POV:

Each and every day, everyone starts getting meaner and meaner.

My mom told me to get to bed since it was Thursday tomorrow and we still had school.

I finished dinner, brushed my teeth, then slept.
