Chapter 6: Little Bit Of Whispering

Alli's POV:

I just got to school and realized I only had five minutes left and I would be late. I ran to the classroom and found out that even my adviser wasn't here yet.

Going in, I realized my "group" were already at the back, our usual place to talk before homeroom.

"Oh, um and do you guys mind if I invite two of my friends? They're our classmates, you know, Maddy and Aubrey?" Kylie questioned. "Sure! I'd love it if they were part of our group as well." Karen answered.

"Oh hey Alli!" Sky greeted me. "Hey." I simply greeted back. Bella just stayed there beside Kylie, not saying anything.

Sometimes, I thought that Bella had too much favoritism...on Kylie. I mean, she sat behind her which obviously gave her a chance to talk to her always. But what about us? Don't we mean anything at all? Just because Kylie never fights with her or such, she can't just make us the bad guys like that.

I whispered exactly what I was thinking to Skylar and Karen. Just a little bit shorter though.

I saw it in Bella's face. She knew we were whispering about her. It's her fault anyways.

Bella's POV:

Ugh! I don't do anything wrong yet they always say bad stuff about me.

At least Kylie was there for me. She never said anything bad about me..what if she did? But she only said it in her mind?! What if she doesn't like me as well?!

"Hey Kylie! Why don't you call Maddy and Aubrey so we can meet them?!" I said, just to butt in to their whispering conversation.

"Sure! Just wait for me, I'll go call them." Kylie replied. While she was looking for them, I asked them if they hated me.

"What? Why would you ask us that?" Sky said. "Well, a while ago when Kylie was here, you guys were whispering about me. Can you at least tell me what you were talking about?" I replied.

"Umm... ask alli." Skylar shyly said. "Alli?" I asked. "Well, um... I kind of thought that you have favoritism on Kylie." Alli said in a soft voice.

Oh, I never knew they felt that way. All this time, it was me making myself sad.

I guessed our adviser was absent because it was past our homeroom time already.

Mr. Horrigan got in and we had to go back to our seats.

He started his discussion about whatever. "Today I will give you guys free time. If you guys have nothing to do, I will be playing a movie." Mr. Horrigan kindly said. He turned the lights off and started the movie.

Skylar sat near Karen so both of them sat on the floor near their seats.

Karen's POV:

I sat beside Skylar and we started talking. " Do you think Bella got offended by what Alli said? " I asked Sky. "I don't really know, I guess so. But it's kind of her fault that it happened." Sky answered.

"I'll go call Kylie and ask her to let us meet Aubrey and Maddy." Sky said, most likely to keep all that stuff about Bella away.

I replied "Sure, I'll wait here. I'd love to meet them."

While Sky went to get Kylie and her friends, I ran to Bella for a while and asked her if she'd hated me.

"No. I just get kind of annoyed when people whisper about me." Bella said. That made me feel a wee bit better, but still, she was really getting annoying.

I went back to our usual place and saw Sky, Kylie, and two other girls, who were most likely Aubrey and Maddy.

"Hey Karen, this is Aubrey." Kylie told me, pointing at a tall girl with long wavy hair. "And this is Maddy." Sky said pointing at a girl with short hair, brown eyes. "I met them while I was waiting for you."

"Goodbye class, it's your recess time." Mr. Horrigan announced.
